A pleasant, unspoilt rural setting in the heart of the Romanesque Cluny countryside, nestled in the bucolic Guye valley (with its fish-filled river), a sublime undulating setting of nature and greenery, alternating vineyard slopes, vast bocage, forest and streams. In the heart of the picturesque little village of Bonnay, a charming typical village that contributed to the extraordinary influence of the Cluny Abbey from the 10th to the 18th century, with its magnificent landscapes and unique heritage (listed medieval hamlet with 14th-century castle, listed 11th-century Romanesque chapel, historic stately homes and traditional rural houses from the 16th and 17th centuries / 15th-century castle / remains of one of the very first fortified churches in Burgundy, dating from the 11th century / 13th-century MH cross...). Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à Bonnay. Le gîte, très propre, est confortable, meubles et équipements sont de qualité. Le jardin offre ombre ou soleil et il est agréable de se tenir sur la terrasse. Merci aux propriétaires pour leur accueil discret et prévenant. Le petit plus : la possibilité de se promener à pied sur des routes peu fréquentées et dans les bois proches.

Que ce soit le lieu, l’accueil ou le cadre, tout est parfait. Merci à nos hôtes de nous avoir accueilli dans ce lieu si paisible.
Chapeau pour les locaux, propres et bien équipés, chapeau pour le jardin, chapeau tout court ! Et Bonnay est un village qui vaut largement le détour situé dans une région qui mérite bien que l’on s’y rende et d’y arrête loin des lieux surchargés de tourisme.
N’oubliez pas de déjeuner au Matefaim, à Bonnay toujours, tout y est fait maison, excellent et copieux. Et le sourire y est garanti.
Bref, une très belle semaine qui nous fait dire que la Saône et Loire est vraiment une région où il fait bon venir.- Cleanliness
