Superb landscaped setting, great comfort & absolute calm in the heart of the sublime Brionnais bocage! Elegant, charming guest house nestled in an authentic 19th-century farmhouse, fully restored to the highest standards, perched as a "panoramic lookout" on a gentle, exposed hillside, on a vast, enclosed, well-kept 1.6-hectare property - boasting a beautiful heated swimming pool (10x4.5m), Nordic bath & electric car recharging point - 7 km from the charming, historic shopping town of Charlieu (crossed by the GR76 to Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle), a Remarkable "Site Clunisien", with a rich heritage including a majestic 10th-century Benedictine abbey, a masterpiece of Romanesque art (all services & shops on site, including supermarkets). Total peace and quiet, nestled in the rolling Brionnais Countryside in a magnificent, unspoilt rural setting of fields and wooded meadows (protected under ZNIEFF for its wealth of flora & fauna), not far from the banks of the Loire ("Europe's last wild river" classified as a "Natura 2000 zone" for its exceptional biotope) and the first wooded foothills of the Monts du Beaujolais. Ideally located on the Romanesque church circuit & "natural" hiking trails, including a signposted "Balade Verte" (a rich network of identical hiking trails criss-crossing the region to discover on foot or mountain bike), 3 km from a signposted "VTT-FFC" mountain bike trail (linked to a vast network of similar "star" trails criss-crossing the region), 7 km from a signposted cyclo route leading to the Voie Verte, 8 km from the "Cycloroute71" (cycling tour of Saône-et-Loire), 13 km of the Voie Verte "Véloire" (running along the Loire & the "Canal Tranquille" linking Roanne to Digoin / linked north to the Voie Verte du Canal du Centre connected to EuroVélo6 as well as to the "Tour de Bourgogne à Vélo"), some 30 kms of the Côtes Roannaises, about 40 km from the Beaujolais (the world's first vineyard to be recognized as a UNESCO World Geopark) & about 60 km from the Côtes Mâconnaises ("Route des Vins de Bourgogne" & "Route des Vins du Beaujolais" to explore). Privileged location at the very southern tip of Burgundy, right in the heart of the superb Charolais-Brionnais region, which has been awarded the "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire" label - a land of livestock breeding and traditions, home to the world-renowned AOC cattle breed - at the crossroads of the Allier, Loire & Rhône departments, at the crossroads of the Sologne & Bourbonnaise Mountains and the Roannais region, not far from the Mâconnais-Clunisois and Beaujolais regions. Ideal location for touring: 15 km from the medieval village of Semur-en-Brionnais, which has been awarded the rare "Plus beaux villages de France" label, 15 km from La Clayette, 15 km from Chaufailles, 19 km from Marcigny ("Site clunisien" famous for its Monday morning Market created in 1266), 27 km from Roanne, 35 km from Charolles, 36 km from the "sacred heart" city of Paray-le-Monial, 44 km from Digoin (river Marina coiled at the convergence of 3 famous canals, including the famous Canal du Centre) and 56 km from the illustrious abbey city of Cluny. A delightful cocoon "out of this world & out of time", ideal "pied à terre" for an ultra-relaxing "green getaway" in grand comfort mode! A literal "haven of peace" that smells of softness and the art of living, with poolside "lézardage" as a bonus! !

Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.

Marie-Pascale welcomes you to an authentic and charming traditional farmhouse full of character, built in the 19th century, carefully restored to the highest standards, and transformed into a very elegant and charming bed-and-breakfast, perched like a “lookout” and “panoramic viewpoint” on a gentle south-facing hill, overlooking—like a balcony—a bucolic valley of wooded meadows (with the peaceful and famous Charolais cows as your privileged neighbors). Absolute tranquility, nestled in the heart of the rolling Brionnais countryside (protected as a ZNIEFF for its rich flora and fauna), amidst the sublime local bocage, not far from the banks of the Loire—the “last wild river in Europe” (protected as a “Natura 2000” site for its exceptional plant and animal habitats), and the first wooded foothills of the Monts du Beaujolais. A true haven of peace and rest, nestled in the heart of a magnificent, completely unspoiled landscape. An enchanting setting, 100% soothing and relaxing—a true little “corner of green paradise.” Spacious, luxurious rooms nestled where the estate’s old haylofts once stood. A warm “countryside chic” atmosphere with opulent and refined contemporary touches, enhanced by unique architecture (including a majestic “open” bathroom in one of the rooms). Abundant charm, style, and character. An “enveloping,” cocooning, and ultra-cozy atmosphere. A beautiful living area that harmonizes with the completely exotic spirit of the place (featuring preserved stone walls adorned with niches and original beams), complete with a fully equipped kitchen at your disposal. A pleasant, spacious, sheltered terrace opens onto a vast, enclosed 1.6-hectare park (with an electric gate and digital keypad, largely landscaped as natural meadows), perfectly maintained and well-kept, featuring a beautiful heated pool (10x4.5m) and a hot tub. Stunning unobstructed views of the surrounding Countryside. Magnificent panoramic views and landscapes.
Layout: 3 bed and breakfast rooms on the first floor in a wing of the house (completely separate from the owners’ living quarters). Wi-Fi (fiber). Oil heating. 2 double bedrooms (each with a 160x200 cm double bed) with private bathrooms (separate shower and toilet) that open directly into the bedroom. An air-conditioned family bed and breakfast consisting of a living area (fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and lounge with TV), 2 separate bedrooms (each with two single beds, 90x200 cm, that can be joined to form a double bed, 180x200 cm) and a bathroom (shower/toilet). Shared living area reserved for guests on the ground floor (living room) with a fully equipped kitchen available for guests’ use. Covered terrace + relaxation terrace overlooking the courtyard (gravel) + Piscine (10x4.5m) + hot tub + bike/motorcycle storage room + charging station for electric or hybrid vehicles + private parking. Shops & services 7 km away (including restaurants). Shuttle service (“taxi”) available to and from Charlieu (on the GR76 trail) provided by the owner for pilgrims.
