Superb wine-growing environment & magnificent panorama! Authentic, carefully restored 18th-century stable set in a quiet, exposed hillside, on the edge of a picturesque village nestled on the banks of the famous Canal du Centre (navigable route to discover by boat or on foot), 4.5 km from the charming, typical & commercial village of Saint-Léger-sur-Dheune (river Marina, numerous shops including supermarket) & 8.5 km from the delightful medieval village of Couches (home to the sumptuous 13th-century château of French Queen Marguerite de Bourgogne or the seven menhirs of Epoigny, one of Burgundy's most important megalithic sites). Total tranquility in the heart of the Vineyards, in the rolling Countryside of the Côtes Chalonnaises, a splendidly preserved setting combining vineyard slopes, meadows & beautiful wild forests (partly protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone" for its rich ecosystems), bordering the sumptuous Vallée des Vaux ("Little Switzerland of the Chalonnaise") & the famous "Val d'Or" of Mercurey (leader of the Côte Chalonnaise crus, one of the oldest AOCs in France), at the crossroads of the Couchois and the world-renowned vineyards of the Côtes de Beaune & Hautes Côtes de Beaune. Location ultra-privileged on the Romanesque churches circuit, the "Route des Grands Vins" (extended by the illustrious "Route des Grands Crus" through the mythical wine villages of Puligny-Montrachet, Pommard, Meursault...), the EuroVélo6 cycle route linked to the "Tour de Bourgogne à Vélo", a referenced 24 km "Vélo Coup de cœur loop", the superb GRP "Au Fil des Vignobles et Vallées" (connected to the GR7 which passes at 1.5 km as well as the GR76 & GR137) & numerous signposted footpaths (linked to a vast network of "balades vertes" criss-crossing the area, for walking or mountain biking), 6 km from the Voie Verte "du Morvan aux Vineyards" adjoining the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de Saône-et-Loire by bike), 11 km from the "La Voie des Vignes" cycle route (36 km through the vineyards of Burgundy's Grand Crus, the world's finest) and 16 km from the Voie Verte of the "Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud". Ultra-privileged location, at the crossroads of Côte d'Or, Pays Beaunois, Bresse Bourguignonne and Autunois, close to the Morvan Natural Park. Ideal for exploring: 6 km from the spa town of Santenay (on-site Casino), 10 km from Chagny (renowned for its Sunday morning gourmet Market), 11 km from the medieval village of Nolay (on-site Lake), 16 km from the medieval town of Givry, 21 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (labeled "City of Art and History"), 22 km from Beaune, 25 km from Le Creusot (famous Combes amusement park / Le Creusot TGV station 21 km away), 34 km from Autun (labelled "City of Art and History"), 47 km from Tournus & 58 km from the famous Gallo-Roman archaeological site of Bibracte labelled "Grand Site de France". A perfect haven for a soothing green getaway with family and friends alike!
