In the heart of a peaceful mini rural hamlet nestled on the edge of the vast wild Planoise forest (a veritable "green lung" in the southern foothills of the Morvan massif), overlooking the bucolic Arroux valley from the hillside, in a pleasant setting of bocage meadows (home to their sheep). A delightful little corner of the rolling countryside, with a beautiful, unobstructed view of the Morvan, just 3 km from the center of Autun, the famous two-thousand-year-old commercial city, labeled a "Ville d'Art & d'Histoire" (City of Art and History) born of the will of the Roman emperor Augustus - with all amenities and numerous sports and leisure facilities - rich in a unique heritage: exceptional Gallo-Roman remains (Temple, gates, theater, Couhard Pyramid....), medieval (12th-century St-Lazare cathedral, ancient ramparts, Ursuline tower, 11th-century Romanesque chapel, high districts with narrow streets and half-timbered houses....) and classical (19th-century covered market hall, 1884 Italian-style theater, 17th-century military high school...).
