The countryside in the city! Former stables dating from the 19th century, fully restored, located on a farm (sheep & beef farming) 3 km from the center of Autun, a not-to-be-missed city in Burgundy with the "Ville d'Art & d'Histoire" label, a historic "Relais de Rome" in the heart of Burgundy, rich in 2000 years of human presence (literally exceptional heritage and all amenities on site, including numerous sports & leisure facilities). Peace and quiet, in a mini rural hamlet perched on a hillside, nestled in a delightfully green bocage setting at the foot of the vast wild Planoise state forest (one of the largest in France), a magnificent unspoilt setting of total nature & greenery dotted with ponds (to be discovered on soothing walks or mountain bike rides). In the heart of the Autun countryside - at the gateway to the Morvan Nature Park - ideally located on the Romanesque churches circuit & the GR131, connected to the GR137 (running along the wooded ridges overlooking the hamlet), 5 km from several signposted "balades vertes" hiking trails (the region's extensive network of similar footpaths), 5 km from a 16 km "coup de cœur" mountain bike loop directly adjacent to the legendary GTMC (Grande Traversée du Massif Central), 5 km from a gentle cycle route & 13 km from the voie verte. Right in the heart of the Autunois, a sublime, unspoilt region steeped in history, tradition, legends and mystery, with a literally exceptional heritage (ancient, medieval, industrial...) & absolutely grandiose mountainous landscapes, at the crossroads of the Pays Couchois (Côtes Chalonnaises adjoining the famous Côtes de Beaune and Hautes Côtes de Beaune / first vineyards & "Route des Grands Vins" extended by the illustrious "Route des Grand Crus" some 30 km away) and the Nièvre & Côte d'Or departments. 15 km from the departure station of the "Vélorail du Morvan" (22 km of unusual rides in the heart of nature), 23 km from the famous Gallo-Roman archaeological site of Bibracte labelled "Grand Site de France", 28 km from the famous Combes amusement park in Le Creusot (Le Creusot TGV station 36 km away), 28 km from the famous Paldenshangpa Buddhist temple in La Boulaye, 30 km from the charming medieval town of Nolay, 39 km from Château-Chinon, 39 km from the renowned Lac des Settons (supervised sandy beach, nautical leisure center & multiple aquatic activities), 51 km from Beaune & 57 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (labeled "Ville d'Art & d'Histoire"). The ideal "pied à terre" for a rejuvenating stay combining "nature & culture", with all shops and services on site!

Breeders of sheep & cattle (Charolais & Salers cows), Béatrice & Guy welcome you to a fully restored 19th-century "stable-saddlery" - once linked to a notable Morvan farm, of which an elegant "demeure de maître" remains just a stone's throw away - nestled on their small family farm (quietly separated). In the heart of a peaceful mini rural hamlet nestled on the edge of the vast wild Planoise forest (a veritable "green lung" in the southern foothills of the Morvan massif), overlooking the bucolic Arroux valley from the hillside, in a pleasant setting of bocage meadows (home to their sheep). A delightful little corner of the rolling countryside, with a beautiful, unobstructed view of the Morvan, just 3 km from the center of Autun, the famous two-thousand-year-old commercial city, labeled a "Ville d'Art & d'Histoire" (City of Art and History) born of the will of the Roman emperor Augustus - with all amenities and numerous sports and leisure facilities - rich in a unique heritage: exceptional Gallo-Roman remains (Temple, gates, theater, Couhard Pyramid....), medieval (12th-century St-Lazare cathedral, ancient ramparts, Ursuline tower, 11th-century Romanesque chapel, high districts with narrow streets and half-timbered houses....) and classical (19th-century covered market hall, 1884 Italian-style theater, 17th-century military high school...). Comfortable gîte. Pleasant, intimate 600m² garden with lawns and trees, well shaded in summer (large walnut, cherry, plum and wild strawberry trees.... / pick-your-own), with large, sheltered terrace.
