Elegant, carefully restored traditional 18th-century barn in the heart of a peaceful, picturesque winegrowing village in the Haut Mâconnais region, steeped in "great history" (classified as a "Cluniac site"), 7 km from the charming market town of Cormatin (sumptuous 17th-century château and many local amenities) & 15 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny (all local amenities). Peace & tranquility, nestled on the edge of meadows just a stone's throw from vineyards, in the heart of the Cluny countryside, a magnificent rolling landscape combining bucolic hedgerows, vineyards, meadows & beautiful wild forests, bordering several protected areas classified "Natura 2000" for their remarkable ecosystem. Ultra-privileged location at the crossroads of the Mâconnais & Côtes Chalonnaises vineyards, bordering the "Route des Vins de Bourgogne" extended by the "Route des Grands Vins", ideally situated on the route of the Romanesque churches, the GR76 (connected to the historic "Chemin des Moines" linking the abbeys of Cîteaux and Cluny), several "balades verte" hiking trails winding their way between vineyards and open country (a vast network of identical hiking trails throughout the region) & a 27 km "boucle vélo coup de cœur" cycle route (second identical 24 km route accessible at 7 km), 6 km from the Voie Verte ("Grande boucle de Bourgogne du Sud") & 11 km from the renowned GMT mountain bike route (Grand Tour du Massif sud Bourgogne). Right in the heart of the Tournugeois-Clunisois (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), at the crossroads of the Mâconnais, Chalonnais, Charollais-Brionnais (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire") & Bresse Bourguignonne, splendid territories rich in sublime landscapes, renowned gastronomy & a literally exceptional historical heritage (notably medieval & Romanesque). Ideal location for exploring: 9 km from Taizé (& its famous religious community), 10 km from the delightful medieval village of Saint-Gengoux-le-National (labeled "Cités de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté"), 19 km from the medieval town of Brancion, 28 km from Tournus (A6 on site), 34 km from the TGV station at Le Creusot, 35 km from Charolles, 37 km from the landscaped gem of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson, classified as a "Grand Site de France", 37 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (classified as a "Ville d'Art et d'Histoire"), 43 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché TGV station 38 km away), 39 km from Charolles & 47 km from Paray-le-Monial. The perfect cocoon for a rejuvenating "mise au vert", with family and friends alike!

Passionate about Hiking & Cycling, Françoise and Christophe welcome you to an elegant, carefully restored traditional 18th-century barn, nestled in the quiet heart of a picturesque wine-producing village in the Countryside. Total tranquility & delightful surroundings, nestled on the very edge of meadows (with the famous Charolais cows as privileged neighbors in season), beneath the wooded ridges of the surrounding hills, just a stone's throw from the first vineyards. Bonnay is steeped in charm and perfectly preserved, having contributed to the extraordinary influence of Cluny Abbey from the 10th to the 18th century. It boasts a unique heritage (listed medieval hamlet with 14th-century château, listed 11th-century Romanesque chapel, historic 16th and 17th-century seigniorial residences and traditional rural houses, remains of one of the very first fortified churches in Burgundy dating from the 11th century...) and enjoys a magnificent, undulating natural setting, between bocage and vineyards, nestled in the verdant Guye valley at the foot of several wild wooded areas. Beautifully landscaped. Very comfortable Holiday cottage. Very spacious. Spacious gaming room nestled under the roof. Large living room. Warm country feel. Cosy atmosphere. Pleasant enclosed lawned garden (with swing & slide) encircled by dry-stone walls. Shaded terrace area nestled under a maple tree, with unobstructed views of the surrounding Countryside.
Composition: Detached house adjoining owners' house (total independence). Gas central heating + wood stove. Wifi (fiber). Triplex. Ground floor: living room-kitchen, shower room, separate toilet. 1st floor: 3 bedrooms (bed 2 p. 160x200cm / 2 beds 1 p. 80x200cm / 2 beds 1 p. 90x190cm), shower room, separate toilet. 2nd floor: gaming room (large mezzanine). Pieter Fijne woning, fijne verhuurder, fijne omgeving

Henk&Nath lovely stay
We had a lovely holiday - one week has proved to be too short for the wonderful region, with all the sightseeing and randonnées that can be done in Bonnay and its surrounding area. And to enjoy the garden of this well equipped, spacious holiday home with superb view! A warm thank you to the welcoming neighbours-owners!
