An extraordinary location & breathtaking views! An exceptional scenic setting nestled at the foot of the magnificent Roches de Solutré & Vergisson (designated a “Grand Site de France”), amidst the sublime vineyards of the renowned “Saint-Véran” appellation! An authentic, characterful 19th-century winemaker’s house, meticulously restored into a charming vacation retreat—featuring a pleasant, enclosed garden of 550m²—perched like a “panoramic lookout” on the hillside, in the heart of a picturesque little wine-growing hamlet, 2.5 km from a supermarket, 7 km from the charming market town of Charnay-les-Mâcon, and 10 km from Mâcon, the southernmost city in Burgundy, nestled on the banks of the Saône (along which runs the Voie Bleue, adjacent to the EuroVélo17 and “ViaRhôna” bike routes). Absolute tranquility in the heart of the Solutré-Pouilly-Vergisson Grand Site, a rolling “cirque” of bucolic vineyards near beautiful wild forests, nestled in the heart of the gentle, rolling Mâconnais countryside—a soothing, unspoiled setting largely protected as “Natura 2000” sites and ZNIEFFs (for its rich ecosystems), bordering the renowned “Val Lamartinien” (named after the famous French Romantic poet and politician, an illustrious “native” of the area), facing the wooded foothills of the South Burgundy massif (a vast wilderness, perfect for hiking or mountain biking). An exceptionally prime location at the very southern tip of Burgundy, overlooking the Saône Valley at the crossroads of the vineyards of southern Mâconnais and northern Beaujolais (the world’s first Vineyard region recognized as a “UNESCO Global Geopark” / a vast network of marked mountain bike trails crisscrossing the massif in a “star” pattern—the nearest accessible trail is just 6 km away), ideally situated along marked hiking trails, including a “green trail” (a very extensive network of similar hiking trails to explore in the region), the “Vins de Bourgogne” route (Côtes Mâconnaises, extending from various Beaujolais wine routes), the “Route Lamartine,” and the Romanesque churches circuit, 2.5 km from the “Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud” Greenway (& its remarkable “Bois Clair Tunnel” located 11 km away—the former longest railway tunnel in France, now open as a greenway at 1.6 km), 1.5 km from the “Cycloroute 71” (Tour de la Saône-et-Loire by bike), 2.5 km from the GR76, 15 km from the renowned GTM mountain bike trail certified “VTT FFC” (Grand Tour of the Southern Burgundy Massif, connected to a vast network of similar mountain bike trails radiating out from the massif) and 24 km from the famous Mont-Saint-Romain downhill mountain bike trail. A prime location at the junction of the Rhône and Ain departments, where the Mâconnais and Beaujolais regions meet (with numerous vineyards to explore), the Clunisois-Tournugeois region (designated a “Pays d’Art et d’Histoire”) and the Bresse de l’Ain. Ideal for exploring the surrounding area (RCEA connection to the A6/A406/A430 highways 4 km away): 7 km from the Mâcon Loché TGV station, 18 km from the famous abbey town of Cluny, 19 km from Touroparc Zoo (Zoo and amusement park), 20 km from “Hameau Dubœuf” (Europe’s first wine and vineyard-themed park), 30 km from Vonnas (Georges Blanc’s gastronomic village), 31 km from the medieval village of Brancion, 41 km from Tournus, 41 km from Beaujeu (the historic capital of Beaujolais), 41 km from the charming medieval town of Saint-Gengoux-le-National (designated a “Cité de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté”), 44 km from Villefranche-sur-Saône, 46 km from Bourg-en-Bresse, and 49 km from Charolles. The ideal retreat for a relaxing “green getaway” immersed in a truly “postcard-perfect” setting! The perfect “spot” for all wine lovers!

A trained winemaker and oenologist, David welcomes you to a charming, authentic 19th-century winemaker’s house full of character—carefully restored and perched as a “lookout” and “panoramic lookout” on a hillside, on a well-exposed “east-facing” slope, right in the heart of the sublime Vineyards of the highly renowned “Saint-Véran” appellation. Total calm and absolute tranquility, nestled within a tiny wine-growing hamlet perched “on the heights” of a picturesque little village in the gentle, rolling Mâconnais countryside, nestled at the foot of the iconic Roches de Solutré and Vergisson, a rolling “cirque” of bucolic hillsides blanketed with vineyards, surrounded by beautiful, untamed forests (a magnificent site designated a “Grand Site de France”), nestled in a soothing, unspoiled setting (protected as a “Natura 2000” site and ZNIEFF for its rich flora and fauna). Exceptional “location advantage” and a landscape of outstanding beauty—literally magical and enchanting. Spacious and very comfortable holiday cottage. A warm, contemporary country charm enhanced by the preserved character of an old rural home (original timber framing, beams, and stone lintels have been retained). Cozy atmosphere. Lots of charm. A very beautiful, enclosed 550m² property (flanked by elegant historic stone walls), featuring a large sun-facing terrace, a pleasant garden with carefully manicured lawns, greenery, and flowers bordering the vineyards, and a large tree-lined courtyard (offering a lovely, naturally shaded gravel terrace area in the summer). Superb unobstructed views of the Vineyards and an exceptional panorama stretching all the way to Mont Blanc, which appears as a backdrop on clear days! Several “extra” services available (for a fee): “Burgundian picnic baskets,” an immersive “wine-tasting experience” to discover Burgundy wines with the owner…
Layout: Semi-detached house comprising two semi-detached holiday cottages (and a small studio that is rarely occupied) adjacent to the owners’ home (complete privacy from one another). Wi-Fi. Oil heating. Duplex holiday cottage on two levels (with a half-level). Ground floor: living room-kitchen, bathroom (shower), separate toilet. Upper mezzanine level: TV lounge. First floor: 2 bedrooms (each with 2 single beds, 90x200 cm), one of which has a private bathroom (tub/toilet). Enclosed property (550 m² / courtyard and garden) + terrace + gravel terrace “off the courtyard” + garage (1 space) + bike storage + electric vehicle charging station (free charging) + private parking. Supermarket 2.5 km away. Amenities 7 km away.
