Splendid panoramic & landscaped setting on a vast 1.5 ha property adorned with a small private Forest! Elegant authentic traditional farmhouse with character dating from 1864, fully restored to the highest standards - set against a hillside "vigie" - nestled in a quiet rural mini hamlet, in the hollow of a bucolic meadow valley, 6 km from the charming shopping town of La Clayette (numerous amenities including supermarket 5.5 km), nestled amphitheatrically on the banks of a 30-hectare pond bordered by a majestic medieval château (dating from 1380), one of South Burgundy's heritage gems! Total peace & quiet in the heart of the unspoilt Clayette Countryside (a large part of which is protected as a ZNIEFF for its rich ecosystems), a bucolic setting of gentle mountains, combining agriculture & nature, between verdant bocage dotted with rivers & ponds and wild forest massifs, nestled in the wooded foothills of the Haut Beaujolais mountains (dotted with numerous signposted mountain bike trails) at the foot of the Mountain de Dun (a remarkable lookout point at 708m), bordering the "Verts Vallons" of southern Burgundy & the "Petite Suisse du Mâconnais" (a protected Natura 2000 area), not far from Mont Saint-Cyr (the highest point in southern Burgundy at 771m). On the route of the Romanesque churches & marked hiking trails, including several "balades vertes" (a vast network of hiking trails of the same type criss-crossing the area, to be explored on foot or mountain bike), 5 km from the "Cycloroute71" (bicycle tour of Saône-et-Loire), 7 km from the GR7, 18 km from a marked "VTT-FFC" mountain bike route (linked to a vast network of similar routes criss-crossing the Brionnais), 24 km of a Voie Verte serving the Canal du Centre (linked to EuroVélo6 and the "Tour de Bourgogne à Vélo"), 31 km of the Voie Verte "Véloire" running along the banks of the Loire (Europe's last wild river, protected as a Natura 2000 area), about 30 km from the first vineyards of the Beaujolais (the first vineyard in the world to be recognized as a UNESCO World Geopark), about 40 km from the Côtes Mâconnaises ("Burgundy Wine Route" & various Beaujolais Wine Routes to discover) and about 50 km from the Côtes Roannaises. At the southern tip of Burgundy, on the edge of the superb Charolais-Brionnais region, which has been awarded the "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire" label, a land of livestock farming and traditions (cradle of the world-renowned AOC cattle breed), at the crossroads of the Mâconnais, Clunisois-Tournugeois ("Pays d'Art et d'Histoire" label), northern Beaujolais, on the border of the Rhône & Loire departments, not far from the Sologne & Mountain Bourbonnaise and the Pays Roannais. 18 km from Saint-Christophe-en-Brionnais & its iconic weekly "Market aux Bestiaux" dating from the end of the 15th century (one of the oldest in France), 24 km from Charolles, 26 km from Charlieu, 27 km from the medieval village of Semur-en-Brionnais awarded the rare "Plus beaux villages de France" label, 31 km from Marcigny (famous Monday morning market created in 1266), 31 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of Beaujolais), 32 km from Paray-le-Monial, 37 km from the illustrious abbey-city of Cluny, 41 km from the sumptuous landscape of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson labelled "Grand Site de France", 46 km from Digoin (river Marina), 47 km from Roanne & 51 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché TGV station 49 km away). The perfect "refuge" for a rejuvenating "breath of fresh air" & "total break" in the heart of nature, just a stone's throw from all amenities! A literal haven of peace & relaxation!

Elegant traditional farmhouse dating from 1864, carefully restored to the highest standards, perched as a "panoramic lookout" on a hillside on the south-eastern slope. Absolute peace and quiet on the outskirts of a mini hamlet, overlooking a delightful valley of gentle bocage meadows at the edge of a wood (with the famous, peaceful Charolais cows as its privileged neighbors), in the heart of a sublime landscaped setting (possibility of observing the wildlife on site: roe deer, foxes, birds of prey, badgers, etc.). A beautiful site, nestled in the heart of nature and unspoilt Countryside (much of which is protected as a ZNIEFF for its wealth of flora and fauna). Postcard landscape, enchanting & relaxing.
