Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.
Martine and Michel open the doors of their old family home, tucked away in a peaceful hamlet in the southern Brionnais region, 1.5 km from the charming village of Vauban. A house steeped in history: the present-day salon served as a weaving workshop for the family's "canuts" (silk workers). They worked silk for the famous Guinot company in Charlieu (now owner of the Musée de la Soie). Take a stroll through the lush, green countryside to see the 12th-century Romanesque church of Saint-Sernin: push open the doors to admire the curious carvings on the capitals and the pyramid-shaped roof of the square-plan bell tower. Fishing enthusiasts can take the path to the Etang de Beauvernay, where day passes are available! Spacious, comfortable gîte with a contemporary country feel. Taste the local produce (bottle of wine, jar of honey and jar of jam) offered on arrival by the owners as you sit in the garden, where cherry, plum, pear and mirabelle trees are sure to please even the most demanding gourmets! A veranda will give you the feeling of being outdoors, whatever the season!
