An authentic 14th-century priory steeped in history (once an annex of the Tournus Abbey), carefully restored and nestled in the quiet countryside on a beautiful property comprising several buildings (perfectly restored) built in a "star" pattern around a historic courtyard. Perched on a hillside, this elegant, characterful medieval château nestles in the very heart of the vineyards, overlooking the Arlois valley (the only one in Burgundy whose unique geology produces the white, rosé and red wines of both southern Burgundy and northern Beaujolais) & the picturesque village of Leynes. Just a stone's throw away, this perfectly preserved village, nestled like an amphitheater in a sumptuous valley of vines, at the foot of a vast wild forest, enjoys a sublime landscape (on a clear day, you can see the Alps all the way to Mont Blanc from the top of the village). Spacious, comfortable gîte. Warm country charm with contemporary accents, sublimated by the totally exotic soul of the place. Lots of charm. Cosy & cozy. Pleasant "offset" garden (swing-tobogan & badminton net) featuring a "double terrace" (exposed gravel & sheltered) adjoining a meadow where the owners' peaceful donkeys graze (complemented by a sheltered gravel terrace at the foot of the gîte). Magnificent panorama & scenery.
Composition: Property comprising 2 family dwellings (including owners) + two gîtes (totally independent). Wifi (fiber). Gas central heating + wood stove. 1st floor: living room-kitchen, 1 bedroom (bed 2 p. 160x190cm) with private shower, separate toilet. 2nd floor: 3 bedrooms (2 single beds 90x190cm / 2 single beds. 160x200cm / 2 beds 1 p. 90x190cm + bed 2 p. 140x190cm) of which 2 with private sde (shower/Wc), sdb (bathtub/Wc). Ground floor: separate toilet. Triple terrace (1 gravel / 2 sheltered) + garden + carport (1 p.) + private parking. Bicycle room. All amenities including supermarkets 7 km.

Claire415 Wonderful countryside gite
We loved our week in Leynes at this gîte ! The space was very clean and comfortable, and well suited for a group of 3 couples and kids. Lots of space and bathrooms! We were enamored with the views, walks from the house, donkey rides, and play area (which was great for kids of 1.5 and 3.)
The village is beautiful and quiet, with a great bakery and restaurant.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!- Cleanliness
