Magnificent surrounding Countryside, nestled in the verdant Grosne valley, a bucolic, unspoilt setting combining hedged meadows, vineyards & beautiful wild forests, not far from the wooded foothills of the South Burgundy Massif, at the crossroads of the Mâconnais & Côtes Chalonnaises vineyards (first vines only 500m away). Privileged Location on the GR76, several signposted "balades vertes" footpaths (a vast network of similar paths winding through the area between vineyards & nature, to be explored on foot or mountain bike), the "Route des vins de Bourgogne" (extended by the nearby "Route des Grands Vins") & the Romanesque church circuit, 1 km from the Voie Verte of the "Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud", 6 km from a signposted cyclo itinerary serving the famous Canal du Centre & the EuroVélo6 cycle route (linked to the "Tour de Bourgogne à Vélos"), 9 km from the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de la Saône-et-Loire à vélo) & 12 km from the renowned GTM mountain biking course with "VTT FFC" accreditation (Grand Tour du Massif Sud-Bourgogne linked to a vast network of identical trails criss-crossing the massif). Ideally located in the heart of southern Burgundy, at the crossroads of the Chalonnais, Tournugeois-Clunisois (a "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), Mâconnais, Bresse Bourguignonne & Charollais-Brionnais (a "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), bucolic, unspoilt territories all rich in sublime landscapes, renowned gastronomy and exceptional historical heritage (notably medieval & Romanesque). 14 km from Taizé (& its famous religious community), 15 km from the medieval town of Brancion, 21 km from the medieval village of Mont-Saint-Vincent (one of Burgundy's most beautiful sites, with a literally unique 360° panoramic "belvedere"), 23 km from Tournus, 23 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, 29 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (labeled a "City of Art and History"), 35 km from Le Creusot (renowned Les Combes amusement park / Creusot TGV station 28 km away), 43 km from the sumptuous landscape jewel of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson "Grand Site de France", 44 km from Charolles, 45 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché TGV station 44 km away), 50 km from Louhans (capital of the Bresse region) & 54 km from Beaune. Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.

Fanny & Damien, winegrowers and Herford cattle breeders, welcome you to a charming, carefully restored, traditional 18th-century Burgundy farmhouse on their small, family-run organic farm (with chickens and ducks), set in a site steeped in history (an old watermill used for hemp production). Soothing, unspoilt country setting, nestled on the edge of the Forest & meadows just a stone's throw from the vineyards, on the edge of a peaceful rural hamlet, at the foot of Mont Péjus (a gentle hill protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone" for its remarkable ecosystems), not far from the pedestrian heart of the picturesque medieval & shopping town of Saint-Gengoux-le-National. Magnificent hilly surroundings, combining nature, agriculture & viticulture, partly protected by ZNIEFF for its wealth of flora & fauna. Spacious, comfortable Holiday cottage. Warm country charm combining tradition & modernity, sublimated by the gentle soul of a typical old rural dwelling (original beams, stone walls, staircase & its wrought-iron railing, parquet floors...). Large raised terrace overlooking a pleasant 400m² garden, planted with trees and flowers, crossed by a bucolic little stream ("déversoir" linked to the Unusual old mill lock, nestled just a stone's throw away). Beautiful unobstructed view of the surrounding Countryside, with the village in the background.
Composition: Semi-detached house with farm outbuilding adjoining owner's house (total independence). Wifi (fiber). Electric heating. Raised ground floor: living-room-kitchen. 1st floor: office space (landing mezzanine), 3 bedrooms (3 single beds 90x190cm, 2 of which are bunk beds / double bed). 160x200cm / bed 2 p. 160x200cm), one with private shower room (shower/Wc), bathroom (bath + shower + Wc). Terrace + garden (400m² with ping-pong table) + private parking. Supermarket 1 km away. Shops 1.5 km.

Neujahr in der Moulin de Foulot
