Total tranquility, good exposure & splendid panoramic views over the bucolic Charolais bocage, perched on a southern plateau overlooking the peaceful little village of Martigny-le-Comte, in a soothing countryside setting of pastures, ponds, rivers & forests. Ideally situated close to the Romanesque church circuit, on the route of a "balade verte" footpath (a very rich network of signposted hiking trails of the same type in the surrounding area), 7 km from the EuroVélo6 cycle route, 8 km from a referenced 63 km "boucle vélo coup de cœur", 10 km from the famous Canal du Centre (discover it by boat or on foot), 20 km from the voie verte and some 30 km from the first vineyards of the Côtes Maconnais & Chalonnaises (various wine routes to explore). Hélène opens the doors to authentic former stables, carefully restored & steeped in history, imposing character outbuildings once linked to the very elegant neighboring 16th-century château she occupies, nestled in the quiet countryside on a vast 40-hectare private estate, boasting a magnificent "classified park" with century-old trees (American oak, Douglas fir, cedar, giant sequoias...) accessible for relaxing walks. Nestling "on a balcony" on a southern plateau overlooking a peaceful, typical village (with its 12th-century Romanesque church), the property enjoys excellent exposure & a sublime panorama of the famous Charolais bocage, stretching as far as the eye can see like a literal postcard landscape. Total tranquility, nestled in a bucolic, unspoilt countryside setting, a succession of pastoral valleys, fish-filled rivers, ponds & deep, wild forests. Extremely comfortable gîte. Ultra spacious.     Parenthèse enchantée

    Vraiment un excellent séjour à Martigny le Comte ! Nous avons loué pour une cousinade durant le pont de l'Ascension les 2 gîtes - Le Logis du Parc et le Potager - qui se trouvent l'un à côté de l'autre sur le magnifique domaine du château avec son parc arboré. Tout était parfait, l'environnement, le calme, les pièces très spacieuses, l'accueil des propriétaires. Tout le monde était ravi.
    Une adresse à conserver sans aucun doute.

    Séjour enchanteur en Bourgogne

    Gîte très bien situé en sud Bourgogne près de Cluny, Paray le Monial et Charolles. Grand gîte accueillant entouré d'un vaste parc. La cheminée du grand salon a agrémenté nos séjour hivernale. Les chambres chacune équipées de leur salle de douche sont un vrai confort.

    We were allocated another gite

    Upon arrival, we quickly realised the owner messed up and allocated us another gite half a mile away.
    We booked to house next to each other and sadly we were split.
    But the other gite was absolutely gorgeous and more practical.

    Déception !

    Beau site, belle propriété. Malheureusement tout est gâché par le manque de propreté : mouches mortes partout, toiles d'araignées et araignées dans toutes les pièces, poussière, vitres non nettoyées. Ce gîte mériterait un grand nettoyage complet,du tri (trop de bibelots, livres et objets divers), du rangement et un bon coup de peinture. En l'état, il ne vaut pas 4 épis !

    Site magnifique! Gîte très beau avec meubles et objets authentiques! 3 salles de bains avec 3 wc ! 1 wc dans l’accueil! Cuisine-salle à manger familiale!reparations à prévoir sur le lave vaisselle et les meubles hauts….merci merci pour tout, l’accueil de Mylène, le partage de ce lieu!

    Gîte agréable

    Notre séjour s'est bien passé: le cadre, le calme et l'agencement du logement pour 6 personnes de 3 générations ont été des atouts . Le lieu est très agréable, le parc, accessible, bien entretenu.
    Bémol: le ménage ( cuisine ), l'électricité et les lampes inadaptées, surtout dans les chambres ( pas d'interrupteur sur une lampe de chevet, il faut débrancher au mur: pour des personnes de 85 ans, c'est compliqué! ), le canapé qui est inconfortable et les deux fauteuils en velours qui sont plus qu'usés.
    Le logement a beaucoup d'atouts mais il est nécessaire de le rafraîchir ( peinture portes ).
    Pas d'avis sur l' accueil du propriétaire car il/elle n'était pas là: nous avons été accueillis par la femme de ménage ( au demeurant aimable ) .
