A delightful "cocoon" of charm, just a stone's throw from the vineyards, in the heart of a picturesque, typical hamlet! Delightful authentic 17th-century Burgundy character property steeped in history & very carefully restored to a very high standard - set against a pleasant, intimate, small, enclosed plot of land - quietly located 5.5 km from the charming shopping town of Tournus on the banks of the Saône (A6 & all amenities on site / world-renowned abbey site & river Marina). In the heart of the South Burgundy Massif (a superb wilderness area, part of which is protected as a Natura 2000 zone), in the midst of gentle rolling mountain Countryside (protected as a ZNIEFF zone for its rich ecosystems), a soothing, unspoilt setting combining vineyards, deep forests & bocage meadows, nestled on a plateau between the verdant Grosne valley & the Saône Valley, at the crossroads of the Mâconnais & Côtes Chalonnaises vineyards ("Route des vins de Bourgogne" & "Route des Grands Vins" to discover). Extremely privileged Location on the route of the Romanesque church circuit, several signposted footpaths including a "balade verte" (connected to a vast network of identical hiking trails, to be explored on foot or mountain bike), a signposted Bike / Mountain bike itinerary linked to the renowned GTM VTT FFC (Grand Tour du Massif Sud Bourgogne) mountain bike circuit, and to the Cycloroute71 (Tour de la Saône-et-Loire by bike), 4 km from the GR76 (linked to the historic Chemin des Moines linking the abbeys of Citeaux & Cluny, and to the famous ViaCluny GR), 5.5 km of the Voie Bleue (running along the Saône river) adjoining the Voie Verte of the "Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud" & 17 km of the renowned Mont Saint-Romain downhill mountain bike track. Right in the heart of the Tournugeois-Clunisois region (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), at the crossroads of the Mâconnais, Chalonnais & Bresse Bourguignonne regions, rich in magnificent landscapes and a unique historical heritage (notably medieval & Romanesque). Ideal for easy access to the whole of southern Burgundy: 6 km from the medieval village of Brancion, 13 km from the rare Truchère Nature Reserve (remarkable protected ecosystem), 13 km from Cuisery, one of France's 8 exclusive "Villages du Livre", 14 km from Lugny (leading producer of Burgundy wines), 18 km from the charming medieval town of Saint-Gengoux-le-National (listed as a "Cités de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté"), 26 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (listed as a "City of Art and History"), 28 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, 33 km from Louhans (capital of the Bresse region), 36 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché TGV station 44 km away), 37 km from the medieval village of Mont-Saint-Vincent (one of the most beautiful sites in Burgundy, with a literally unique 360° panoramic "belvedere"), 38 km from the sumptuous Roche de Solutré & Vergisson landscape jewel, a "Grand Site de France" & 47 km from the TGV station at Le Creusot. An inspiring & rejuvenating "art de vivre" "refuge", for a relaxing "green getaway" among the "old stones", for lovers and families alike!
