Elegant, authentic traditional farmhouse dating from the late 19th century with atypical architecture - entirely restored with care by the commune in line with eco-construction principles - nestled in a peaceful Bresse village, 10 km from the charming, typical market town of Saint-Germain-du-Bois (with its many amenities and outstanding level of sports and leisure facilities) & 19 km from Louhans, the famous capital of the Bresse region (known for its iconic medieval shopping street with 157 arcades, as well as its famous Monday market, which has been awarded the "Site remarquable du goût" label). Pleasant, unspoilt surroundings, with several "Natura 2000" protected natural sites, nestled in the heart of the Bresse countryside, in a soothing agricultural & natural setting with varied landscapes, combining vast bocage plains dotted with ponds, forests, rivers & meadows, close to the mountainous foothills of the Jura massif. Prime location not far from the Romanesque church circuit, close to numerous signposted "balades vertes" hiking trails (a very rich network of hiking trails of this type to be discovered throughout the region / 3 of which are accessible within 4 km), 6 km from a referenced 35 km "Coup de Cœur bicycle loop" connected to the voie verte, 19 km from the Voie Verte Bressanne, around 20 km from the first vineyards of the Jura, around 50 km from the vineyards of southern Burgundy (Côtes Mâconnaises & Côtes Chalonnaises) & around 60 km from the prestigious world-renowned vineyards of the Côtes de Beaune & Hautes Côtes de Beaune (numerous wine routes to explore, including the illustrious "Route des Grands Crus"). In the heart of Bresse Bourguignonne - birthplace of the famous AOC Bresse poultry - at the crossroads of Ain & Jura, at the crossroads of Chalonnais, Bresse du Jura, Mâconnais, Tournugeois-Clunisois (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire") & Bresse de l'Ain. Ideal for exploring several départements: 19 km from Pierre-de-Bresse (& its renowned eco-museum), 25 km from Lons-le-Saunier, 35 km from Verdun-sur-Doubs (river marina nestled at the confluence of the Doubs and Saône rivers), 39 km from Seurre, 39 km from the charming medieval town of Romenay, 39 km from Cuisery, one of France's 8 exclusive "Villages du Livre", 42 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (a "Ville d'Art & d'Histoire"), 47 km from Tournus & 47 km from Dole (a "Ville d'Art & d'Histoire"). The perfect resort for an ultra-relaxing getaway in 100% comfort!

Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.

A charming, authentic 19th-century traditional farmhouse in the “longère” style, featuring a rare and unique architectural structure with “horizontally laid tiles,” renovated by the municipality into an ultra-comfortable vacation home using comprehensive eco-construction principles (a meticulous, full restoration adhering to the stringent regional “Effilogis” standards), nestled in the heart of a peaceful little village in the Bresse Countryside. Quiet and peaceful, Bosjean features a citystade (located just a stone’s throw from the holiday cottage) and a “conservation orchard” (with apple, plum, and pear trees, blackcurrants, redcurrants… /picking allowed) and is surrounded by soothing countryside that blends agriculture and unspoiled nature, part of which is classified and protected as a ZNIEFF (Natural Area of Ecological Interest, Fauna, and Flora) for its rich biodiversity, nestled in the heart of a serene, gently rolling plain of hedgerow-lined meadows, on the edge of a vast wild Forest and close to the banks of the Seille (a river teeming with fish). Spacious and very comfortable holiday cottage. Large living area. A warm, contemporary feel enhanced by the preservation of the original building’s unusual and very elegant “tuiles couchées” walls. Lots of charm. Cozy and comfortable. Very large, sheltered terrace opening onto a pleasant 2,000 m² lawned garden—a perfect “playground” for kids—featuring a walnut tree (where you can pick walnuts). Large courtyard (potential natural pétanque court for the adventurous!). Beautiful, unobstructed view of the gentle surrounding Countryside.
Layout: Detached house on 2 levels. Wi-Fi. Wood heating. Ground floor: kitchen-living room, TV lounge, accessible bedroom (double bed 160x200 cm) with private bathroom (shower/toilet), laundry room, 2 separate toilets. First floor: 5 bedrooms (3 with 1 double bed 160x200 cm / 2 with 3 single beds (80x200 cm), 2 of which can be joined to form a double bed (160x200 cm)), 2 shower rooms (showers), separate toilet. Covered terrace + garden + courtyard + bike storage + private parking. Electric vehicle charging station. Shops, including supermarkets, 10 km away. All amenities 19 km away.
