Nestling at the bottom of the verdant Méchet valley & its fish-filled river, in the heart of a splendidly landscaped setting of gentle mountains dotted with deep, wild forests (to be explored on relaxing walks or mountain bike rides), the small village of La Grande Verrière (one of the oldest villages in Morvan, 3.5 km away), is home to a notable heritage (medieval castles, some of which are in ruins & manor houses) and boasts a sublime, unspoilt environment of greenery & nature.
