Exceptional country setting & postcard landscapes! Charming authentic 19th-century farm outbuilding carefully converted into a comfortable contemporary-style gîte - with panoramic terrace & sheltered outdoor spa - nestled on a south-west facing hillside, on the edge of a peaceful rural mini hamlet, 9 km from the charming typical village of Dompierre-Les-Ormes (small shops on site) & 14 km from the delightful market town of Matour, a "Station Verte de Vacances" (many amenities and remarkable level of leisure facilities). Absolute peace and quiet in the rolling Charolais countryside, nestled in a sublime bocage plateau nestled beneath the wooded ridges of the vast surrounding wild forests (partly classified & protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone" for its remarkable ecosystems), A soothing, unspoilt setting of nature & greenery nestled at the foot of Mont Saint-Cyr (the highest peak in southern Burgundy) in the foothills of the Beaujolais massif, bordering the Haut Clunisois & its "green valleys" of southern Burgundy, as well as the verdant Grosne valley (the "Little Switzerland of the Mâconnais"). A choice location on the route of several marked "balade verte" footpaths (adjoining a very rich network of identical paths criss-crossing the area, to be explored on foot or mountain bike), 3 km from the GR7, 7 km from a referenced 88 km "boucle vélo coup de cœur" (another 63 km itinerary of the same type accessible at 17 km) & 26 km from the Voie Verte of the "Grande boucle de Bourgogne du Sud", not far from the first vineyards of Beaujolais (first vineyard in the world to be recognized as a "UNESCO Geopark") & the Côtes Mâconnaises (including the renowned "Val Lamartinien" / "Route des Vins de Bourgogne" to explore), close to the Romanesque church circuit. Ultra-privileged location at the crossroads of Charolais-Brionnais (cradle of world-renowned AOC beef and sheep breeds) & Clunisois-Tournugeois (both "Pays d'Art & d'Histoire"), at the crossroads of Mâconnais, Beaujolais, Rhône & Loire. Ideal for touring (RCEA access 12 km away): 15 km from La Clayette, 19 km from Charolles, 30 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, 31 km from Paray-le-Monial, 36 km from Charlieu, 39 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of Beaujolais), 40 km from Marcigny ("site clunisien" famous for its Monday morning market created in 1266), 45 km from Digoin (river marina connected to the Canal du Centre & the "quiet canal" linking Digoin to Roanne), 40 km from the sumptuous landscape jewel of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson labelled "Grand Site de France" & 45 km from Mâcon (Mâcon TGV station 43 km away). Possibility of renting together with the property's second gîte (reference 3236) for a total capacity of 5 people. The perfect retreat for a cocooning country break for two, 100% rejuvenating & relaxing! A literal haven of peace & rest!

Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.

Jean-Paul & Patricia welcome you to a delightfully authentic, tastefully restored 19th-century outbuilding of character, set on a former agricultural estate consisting of various buildings, all perfectly restored, on the outskirts of a mini rural hamlet. The setting & site are literally enchanting, nestling on a southwest-facing hillside, overlooking a sublime bocage plateau, with the famous Charolais cows as close neighbors. Magnificent panorama and scenery. Total peace & quiet, nestled on the edge of meadows & forests, in the hollow of a magnificent rolling country cirque, nestled beneath the wooded ridges of the surrounding hills, a magnificent, unspoilt setting of greenery & nature set against the slopes of Mont Saint-Cyr, the highest point in southern Burgundy (a unique belvedere offering exceptional panoramic views as far as Mont-Blanc on a clear day!) Very comfortable gîte with modern "compact" architecture. A warm, contemporary feel blending Nordic and industrial influences, combined with careful restoration (original stone beams & walls), enhanced by the conservation of an old traditional bread oven (visible in the gîte's "showcase"). Cosy, cocooning atmosphere. Lots of charm. Pleasantly large panoramic balcony terrace. A magical bonus: a sheltered outdoor spa overlooking a postcard landscape!
Composition: Access to property via 400m of dirt road. Detached house adjoining the owners' house and a second gîte (total independence without vis-à-vis / access to the gîte by stairs leading down the hillside from the courtyard-parking area). Wifi (fiber). Electric heating. Raised ground floor: kitchen-living room (sofa bed 2 p. 140x190cm). 1st floor: 1 bedroom (2-bed 140x190cm), bathroom (shower/wc). Balcony-terrace + sheltered spa (4 places) + small garden + bike room + private parking. Shops 9 km. Supermarket 14 km.
