"A picture-postcard landscape nestled in a peaceful natural setting between the Beaujolais and Brionnais regions! Comfortable gypsy caravan nestled on the edge of the Forest - with private "Nordic bath" (fee payable) - overlooking a hillside, a "panoramic balcony", a green valley of meadows on a pleasant property adorned with a beautiful heated 9x4m swimming pool (shared with other tourist accommodations), 7.5 km from the typical market town of Chauffailles (numerous local amenities, including supermarkets) & 11 km from La Clayette, a charming amphitheatric town nestled on the banks of a 30-hectare lake bordered by a majestic medieval château (dating from 1380), one of Burgundy's heritage jewels! Absolute tranquility in unspoilt Countryside (in the heart of an area protected as a ZNIEFF for its rich ecosystems), nestled in the wooded foothills of the Haut Beaujolais mountains at the foot of the 708m-high Mountain de Dun, a sublime setting of gentle mountain landscapes, combining bocage meadows and deep, wild forests, bordering the "Verts Vallons" of southern Burgundy and the "Petite Suisse du Mâconnais" (a protected Natura 2000 area), not far from Mont Saint-Cyr (the highest point in southern Burgundy at 771m). On the routes of numerous signposted footpaths, including PR & "balades vertes" (a vast network to discover), not far from the Romanesque church circuit, 3 km from a signposted mountain bike route (many other similar routes can be explored on the massif), 10 km from the GR7, 11 km from the "Cycloroute71" (tour of Saône-et-Loire by bike), 21 km of a signposted mountain biking route (VTT-FFC) (linked to a vast network of similar routes criss-crossing the Brionnais region), 23 km of a signposted cyclo route linked to the Voie Verte "Véloire" (following the Loire, Europe's last wild river), around 30 km from the first vineyards of the Beaujolais (the world's first vineyard to be recognized as a UNESCO World Geopark) & around 40 km from the Côtes Mâconnaises ("Route des Vins de Bourgogne"). At the southern tip of Burgundy, on the edge of the magnificent Charolais-Brionnais territory (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire" / cradle of the world-renowned AOC cattle breed), at the crossroads of the Mâconnais-Clunisois, the northern Beaujolais, on the border of the Rhône & Loire departments, not far from the Sologne & Mountain Bourbonnaise as well as the Pays Roannais. Ideal for touring: 15 km from Matour (labelled "Station verte de vacances"), 23 km from the "cité de caractère" of Charlieu, 23 km from Saint-Christophe-en-Brionnais & its iconic weekly "Market aux Bestiaux" dating from the end of the 15th century (one of the oldest in France), 28 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of Beaujolais), 30 km from Charolles, 30 km from Semur-en-Brionnais, awarded the prestigious "Plus beaux villages de France" label, 35 km from Marcigny, 37 km from Paray-le-Monial, 43 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, 43 km from Roanne, 45 km from the landscaped jewel of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson, awarded the "Grand Site de France" label, 53 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché TGV station 52 km away) & 53 km from Villefranche sur-Saône. A delightful "cocoon" for a totally Unusual holiday experience - combining "full nature" & "Wellbeing" by the pool or Nordic bath - in the heart of a rejuvenating haven of peace & rest!

Originally from Belgium, but Burgundians at heart and by choice, Elsje and Christophe welcome you to a charming caravan nestled in a peaceful setting “in the heart of nature,” on the edge of the Forest (a rare privilege that allows you to observe wildlife right on the property), overlooking a bucolic valley of meadows from a “panoramic viewpoint” on a hillside (on an “east-facing” slope that’s pleasantly shaded in the late afternoon during the height of summer) within a “scattered” rural hamlet. Absolute tranquility in the heart of unspoiled, gently rolling mountain countryside, on the edge of the Beaujolais and Brionnais mountains (a ZNIEFF-protected area for its rich flora and fauna), at the foot of Mount Dun, steeped in legends and mysteries (home to a 12th-century Romanesque chapel at 708m and boasting a magnificent panoramic view of up to “35 church steeples” on a clear day!), not far from the Mussy-sous-Dun viaduct (an iconic 19th-century railway engineering structure). A sublime natural setting and a true haven of peace. A pleasant panoramic balcony-terrace adjoining a small, carefully landscaped “synthetic” garden filled with flowers, complete with a Nordic hot tub. Access to the property’s heated Piscine (9x4m), nestled just a stone’s throw away in the heart of an enclosed garden (with shower and terrace). A warm and bright caravan offering excellent comfort. Enveloping, wooded mountain charm with a “cocoon cabin” feel. Ultra-cozy. Lots of charm.
Layout: Fully independent trailer adjacent to the owners’ home on a property that also houses 2 other Holiday cottages. Wi-Fi (fiber). Free laundry service. Heat pump heating. Air conditioning. Raised ground floor (6 steps): living area with fully equipped kitchenette (induction cooktop + combination oven/grill and microwave + refrigerator), 2 cabin-style bedrooms (1 double bed 160x200cm / 2 single bunk beds 90x200cm), bathroom (shower/toilet). Balcony-terrace + Nordic bath (for a fee: €15 per session) + small artificial grass garden + private parking. Enclosed garden with heated Piscine (9x4m) + bike storage + shared ping-pong table. Shops and supermarket 7.5 km away.
