Maryvonne & Daniel, both retired winegrowers and passionate oenophiles, open the doors to a charming authentic 19th-century winegrower's house, steeped in history and carefully restored into a very comfortable holiday home, nestled in the countryside at the very heart of the Haut-Mâconnais vineyards. Quiet setting in a residential hamlet nestling at the foot of a wooded hill, just a stone's throw from the center of the peaceful little wine-growing village of Chardonnay, the historic birthplace of the mythical eponymous grape variety. Nestled in a bucolic green valley in a charming, unspoilt setting of vineyards, meadows & vast wild forests (dotted with footpaths, splendid panoramic viewpoints and signposted mountain bike trails for all levels), the village enjoys a magnificent, unspoilt rural setting, mountainous & undulating, as well as a remarkable historical heritage (elegant listed 12th-century Romanesque church, 12th-century manor house, former tithe of the Benedictine monks of Saint-Philibert de Tournus abbey, Neolithic "legend stone" dolmen listed as a Monument Historique...).).     De l'espace et du calme à la source du Chardonnay

    Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans ce gite spacieux et propre. Nous avons été accueillis par la propriétaire très sympathique, qui nous a mis directement dans l’ambiance du Chardonnay avec son excellent cadeau d’accueil.
    La véranda est parfaite pour profiter de l’extérieur si le temps se rafraichit.
    L’emplacement est assez proche de l’entrée de l’A6 à Tournus, parfait pour rayonner dans la région.
    Nous recommandons chaleureusement ce gite !

    Gîte Me et Mr LETIENNE à CHARDONNAY

    Le gîte est très agréable, calme et bien entretenu. La météo clémente de la semaine nous a permis de déjeuner sur la terrasse. Les lits sont confortables.
    Seul petit regret c’est de ne pas avoir de wifi mais la propriétaire nous en a donner l’explication.
