At the gateway to the Morvan Nature Park! Charming little "eighties" chalet, completely refurbished - with a very intimate 800m² lawned garden - nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac on the edge of meadows in a peaceful little rural hamlet nestled on the banks of the Arroux river, just a stone's throw from the center of the typical market town of Toulon-sur-Arroux (many local amenities including a supermarket), renowned for its Unusual "Diverti'Parc" amusement park, a nature-oriented family leisure park, literally the only one of its kind in Burgundy, 2.5 km (mini amusement park) and 13 km from Gueugnon (all amenities on site). In the heart of the gentle Morvan countryside, a magnificent, perfectly preserved natural setting combining rolling bocage, ponds and deep, wild forests, nestling at the very southern tip of the Morvan Massif, in the lush green Arroux valley, part of a ZNIEFF protected area for its wealth of flora & fauna (& a river full of fish to be discovered on soothing canoe or kayak trips), not far from the Uchon Massif & its famous "Signal d'Uchon" peak ("the Pearl of Morvan", a listed natural site). Location ultra-privileged on the routes of the Romanesque church circuit, several signposted hiking trails including a "balade verte" (a vast network of hiking trails of the same type criss-crossing the territory, to be explored on foot or mountain bike), the GR 131 linked to the GRP of the "Grand Tour du Massif du Morvan", the mythical mountain bike route of the GMTC (Grande Traversée du Massif Central) & the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de Saône-et-Loire à vélo), 25 km from the Eurovélo6 cycle route alongside the "Tour de Bourgogne à Vélo" (along the famous Canal du Centre) and some 50 km from the Vineyards of the Mâconnais, du Couchois (Côtes Chalonnaises) and the world-renowned Côtes de Beaune & Hautes Côtes de Beaune ("Route des Grands Vins" extended by the illustrious "Route des Grands Crus" through the legendary wine villages of Puligny-Montrachet, Pommard, Meursault...). At the crossroads of the Nièvre, at the crossroads of the Charollais-Brionnais "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire" (cradle of the world-renowned AOC cattle breed) and the sublimely preserved Autunois region, steeped in tradition, legend and mystery, rich in grandiose landscapes and exceptional historical heritage (ancient, medieval, industrial...). Ideal for exploring: 9 km from the famous Paldenshangpa Buddhist temple at La Boulaye, 28 km from Digoin (river marina connected to the famous Canal du Centre as well as the "quiet canal" linking Digoin to Roanne), 32 km from Le Creusot (renowned Les Combes amusement park / Le Creusot TGV station 34 km away), 34 km from Paray-le-Monial, 34 km from the medieval village of Mont-Saint-Vincent (unique 360° panoramic "belvedere" in Burgundy), 36 km from Charolles, 36 km from the famous Gallo-Roman archeological site of Bibracte (Grand Site de France), 37 km from Autun (City d'Art & d'Histoire), 39 km from the medieval spa town of Bourbon-Lancy & 57 km from the famous PAL theme park. Possibility of renting together with the owners' neighboring Holiday cottage (n°3290) for a total capacity of 7 people. An atypically perfect little "nest", just a stone's throw from shops and nature, for a relaxing "green getaway" for two!

andy70289 Cute little gite
Lovely location with well manicured and spacious lawn for our dog to play.
Great facilities, including dishwasher and washing machine, with the added bonus of washing powder and dishwasher tablets. Also, coffee pods were supplied.
Comfortable bed, though not enough room to walk each side of the bed.
A suggestion to the owners, that they refrain from using noisy machinery (mini digger) when guests are staying, particularly at 8am on a Saturday. However this was only for a short period of time.- Cleanliness
