A spacious, charming holiday cottage housed in an authentic, characterful late 19th-century winemaker’s home, carefully and fully restored, nestled in a quiet setting in the heart of a picturesque little wine-growing village in the Couchois region. Set amidst a magnificent, unspoiled natural and rural Vineyard landscape, at the crossroads of the world-renowned Vineyards of the Côtes de Beaune, Hautes Côtes de Beaune, and Côtes Chalonnaises. An exceptionally privileged location on the border of the Côte d’Or, at the crossroads of the rich regions of the Chalonnais, the Pays Beaunois, the Autunois, and the Morvan Massif (and its Natural Park) —amidst spectacular landscapes and exceptional historical heritage—on the wine route and the Grands Crus trail, 4.5m from the greenway (EuroVélo6) and the Canal du Centre (“Le Fleuve tranquille,” a tranquil river in the heart of nature, best explored by Boat or on foot), very close to the Romanesque church trail and the routes of many renowned GR hiking trails. Ideally located for exploring the area: 10 km from the Santenay spa, 17.5 km from Chagny, 21 km from Le Creusot (Les Combes Amusement Park), 26 km from Chalon-sur-Saône, 28 km from Autun, 29 km from Beaune, and 54 km from Tournus. Professional winemakers (owners of the family-run "Clos Voyen" estate, located 300 meters away and in operation for four generations, featuring an exceptional 16th-century wine cellar—tours and tastings available), Marie-Christine and Fabrice welcome you to an authentic, characterful late-19th-century winemaker’s character property, fully restored to the highest standards. Nestled in the Couches countryside at the heart of a picturesque, typical, and very peaceful little wine-growing village, nestled in a stunning natural cirque, surrounded by Vineyard-covered slopes, wooded hills, and meadows, just 4 km from the charming medieval village of Couches, designated a “Station Verte de Vacances” (home to the sumptuous castle “said” to have belonged to Marguerite of Burgundy, Queen of France—a former medieval fortress of the Duchy of Burgundy dating from the 13th century and listed as a French Historic Monument). ) and 10 km from the spa town of Santenay (both towns offer a full range of shops and services). Numerous nature activities (including lovely hiking trails winding through the Vineyards) and a rich heritage to discover in the surrounding area (many castles, mills, fortified houses, menhirs...), in the heart of a magnificent, unspoiled rural and natural setting. Very comfortable holiday cottage. Extremely spacious. Large living area. Warm, rustic charm blending tradition and modernity, combining the elegant “bourgeois” style of yesteryear (original wood paneling, beams, hardwood floors, doors, and cast-iron radiators) with a contemporary feel. Lots of charm. Cozy and inviting atmosphere. Large, sunny, and shaded terrace. Spacious, pleasant, and well-maintained garden. Beautiful, unobstructed view of the surrounding Countryside.
Layout: Village house on two levels (semi-detached house adjacent to an unoccupied barn). Wi-Fi. Oil-fired central heating. Raised ground floor (2 steps): living room-kitchen-family room, large reception hall, and small “buffer” room/gaming room, bathroom (shower/toilet). First floor: 3 bedrooms (1 double bed 160x200 cm / 3 single beds 90x190 cm, including 1 on a raised platform + 1 double bed 140x190 cm / 1 double bed 160x200 cm), bathroom (shower/toilet). Private terrace in front of the holiday cottage + private garden (in front of the house / across a small alley). Ample public parking lot on site. Shops & services 4 km away. Creusot TGV station 22 km away.

    Gite super sympa
