Nathalie & Benoît open the doors of a charming, carefully restored 19th-century traditional "fermette" (once adjoining the old barn next door, which they have also perfectly converted into a Holiday cottage) nestled in the heart of a peaceful little village in the Countryside, a stone's throw from a delightful 12th-century Roman church. Typical & steeped in history, the cradle of shale mining in the Autunois region (in the late 19th century), this former mining town with its world-renowned deposits (a few vestiges of this period remain just a few kilometers away) nestles at the crossroads of the verdant valleys of the Arroux & Drée (fish-filled rivers) in a bucolic, undulating natural setting, with a mix of agriculture & nature, between arable fields, wooded meadows, rivers & ponds and deep, wild forests (including the nearby Planoise national forest, one of the largest in France, and the famous vast Morvan forest massif). Unspoilt surroundings, ideal for relaxing walks or mountain bike rides. Very comfortable Holiday cottage. Ultra spacious and bright. Vast 65m² living room with cathedral ceiling. Warm country style with contemporary accents.     Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable. Nous avons été accueilli par le couple de propriétaires qui sont très accueillants, disponibles, agréables. Le logement est propre, beau, tout le nécessaire est là. La douche est très grande, les pièces sont spacieuses. Très joli logement et le jardin est très beau!

    Couple très sympathique avec qui nous avons eu de bons échanges. Le gîte a été laissé très propre.

    Les propriétaires sont très accueillants, sympatiques et aux petits soins!
    Le gîte est très agréable. L’agencement, la circulation intérieur/extérieur sont hyper pratiques, on se sent rapidement à l’aise. Draps et linge de maison très propres. L’extèrieur clos, le jardin sont un vrai plus!
    Seuls bémol: insonorisation du séjour (raisonne pas mal) et l’escalier en colimasson un peu dangereux.
    Nous avons passé un bon séjour!

    Nous sommes revenus à La Vallerie et c'était un aussi agréable séjour qu'il y a 15 mois.

    Le Gite est toujours très confortable, très bien équipé.

    L'accueil est chaleureux.

    Un village calme près d'Autun.
