Stay in an exceptional, perfectly preserved medieval Burgundy residence! Comfortable guesthouse nestled in a 15th-century "maison bourgeoise", steeped in history & carefully restored to the highest standards, quietly situated in the heart of a small village in the Côte Chalonnaise & its gentle rolling vineyard countryside, 8 km from the charming market town of Buxy (many amenities on site). Nestled in the verdant Guye valley, adjacent to the sublime Vaux valley ("la petite Suisse chalonnaise"), a bucolic natural setting of vineyard slopes, hedged farmland, rivers & wooded hills, partly classified as a "Natura 2000 zone" for its rich ecosystem. Ultra-privileged location on the GR7 & GR76, the "Route des Grands Vins", the Romanesque church circuit, and a marked "balades verte" hiking trail (a very rich network of similar hiking trails winding through vineyards & nature, to be explored throughout the region), 5 km from a signposted cycle route (connected to EuroVélo6) & a referenced 26 km "boucle vélo coup de cœur" (another 14 km loop accessible at 9 km), 7 km from the "voie verte" and 12 km from the famous Canal du Centre ("Le Fleuve tranquille", a navigable route to discover on a boat trip or on foot / river marina at 23 km). Prime location at the crossroads of Couchois & the world-famous Côtes de Beaune & Hautes Côtes de Beaune vineyards (and the illustrious "Route des Grands Crus"), at the crossroads of Côte d'Or & Pays Beaunois, Bresse Bourguignonne & Autunois-Morvan. Ideal for exploring: 14 km from the medieval village of Saint-Gengoux-le-National, classified as a "Cités de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté", 18 km from the medieval town of Mont-Saint-Vincent (unique panoramic viewpoint), 22 km from Le Creusot (Le Creusot TGV station 15 km away), 23 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (classified as a "Ville d'Art et d'Histoire"), 34 km from Tournus, 46 km from Charolles, 49 km from Autun (classified as a "Ville d'Art et d'Histoire", with a priceless heritage spanning over 2000 years of human presence) & 53 km from Beaune. The ideal holiday destination for all wine and "old stone" & heritage lovers! An address that exudes "art de vivre"...

Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.
Passionate about heritage and architecture alike, Pascale opens the doors of an exceptional medieval "bourgeois" residence steeped in history, dating back to the 15th century, which she fell in love with and carefully restored "stone by stone", with great attention to historical detail. Quiet setting, nestling on the edge of a small alleyway in the heart of the old village of a peaceful little Côte Chalonnaise town, perched on a well-exposed hillside in the heart of magnificent, gentle, unspoilt wine-growing & agricultural countryside, alternating between bucolic vineyard slopes, vast bocages & beautiful wild forests. Country & natural surroundings 100% soothing & restful. Spacious, comfortable guest room, totally independent, decorated in a warm medieval & "Renaissance" atmosphere. Elegant historic cachet, combining meticulous preservation of the original features (French beams & ceilings, imposing stone fireplace mantel, original stone walls, lintels & corbels...) and "identical" restoration scrupulously respecting the original building (mullioned windows with interior wooden shutters, tiled floors...). Enormous charm & character. Vast, delightful common living area designed in the same spirit (including access to the house's exceptional stone "spiral staircase"). Large elevated south-facing terrace overlooking a pleasant 200m² garden planted with flowers.
Features: Wifi. Electric heating. Wood-burning stove in living room. Totally independent guest room on the 1st floor of the owner's house, accessible via an outside staircase (2 single beds 90x200cm, which can be twinned to form a double bed 180x200cm) with private bathroom (bath/WC) and balcony. Shared living room on ground floor (where breakfast is served). Garden + terrace + bike/motorcycle storage + private parking. Amenities and restaurant 8 km.

Catherine 40 Tour historique
