Magnificent panorama & scenery! Authentic, elegant, traditional 18th-century farmhouse steeped in history & fully restored to the highest standards, nestled in the peaceful Haut-Clunysois countryside in a perfectly preserved rural mini hamlet, 10 km from the picturesque village of Matour, a "Station Verte de vacances" ecotourism label dedicated to "nature" destinations (with numerous amenities, including a small supermarket & a remarkable range of leisure facilities) & 15km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, the spiritual heart of medieval Europe, which has been awarded the prestigious "European Heritage" label. Sublime, unspoilt countryside of rolling bocages and vast, wild forests (partly classified as a "Natura 2000 Zone" & ZNIEFF) overlooking the verdant Grosne valley in the "Little Switzerland of the Mâconnais" & the "Green Valleys" of southern Burgundy, facing the first foothills of the Beaujolais massif, extending the sumptuous landscape jewels of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson labelled "Grand Site de France" (27 km away). A choice location on the Romanesque church circuit, several signposted "balades vertes" hiking trails (numerous hiking trails of the same type criss-crossing the territory in the heart of nature, to be explored on foot or mountain bike) 9 km from the GR7, 16 km from the Voie Verte of the "Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud" (& its remarkable "Tunnel du Bois Clair" accessible at 18 km, France's longest former railway tunnel open to a Voie Verte at 1.6 km) adjoining the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de Saône-et-Loire by bike), 12 km of the renowned GTM mountain bike trail ("Grand Tour du Massif Sud Bourgogne" linked to a vast network of signposted mountain bike trails criss-crossing the massif, labelled "VTT FFC") and some 15 km from the first vineyards of the Mâconnais (including the famous "Val Lamartinien", named after the famous French poet who was born here) & the "Route des Vins de Bourgogne", not far from the vineyards of Beaujolais (the first in the world to be labelled a "UNESCO World Geopark"). Prime location at the crossroads of Tournugeois-Clunisois & Charolais-Brionnais (cradle of the AOC cattle breed), both of which have the "Pays d'Art & d'Histoire" label, and the Mâconnais, all of which boast sublime landscapes, an exceptional cultural heritage & a renowned gastronomy. Ideal for touring (RCEA access 5 km away): 6.5 km from "Lab71" (discovery center based on sustainable development & science), 7 km from Pézanin arboretum (400 plant species on 25 ha around a bucolic fishing pond), 26 km from La Clayette, 28 km from Charolles, 32 km from Beaujeu (capital of the Beaujolais region), 32 km from Mâcon (Mâcon-Loché TGV station 28 km away), 38 km from the renowned Touroparc Zoo animal park, 42 km from Paray-le-Monial (Sacré Coeur basilica). A soothing cocoon of charm for a rejuvenating "breath of fresh air", immersed in a truly "postcard" setting!

Michel (born in the hamlet) & Geneviève open the doors to an authentic & very elegant 18th century traditional farmhouse full of character, steeped in history & restored to the highest standards, nestled in a peaceful setting on the edge of a pasture welcoming peaceful lambs & ewes in season (no nuisance). Total tranquility in the heart of a typical rural mini hamlet, perfectly restored, nestled on a south-facing hillside in a delightful, unspoilt setting of nature and greenery, on a vast "open" plateau of bucolic meadows overlooking the verdant Grosne valley, backed by the wooded hills of the South Burgundy massif, just a stone's throw away (numerous signposted footpaths, for relaxing walks or mountain bike rides). A real little corner of paradise for young and old, on the edge of the gentle rolling countryside of the Haut Clunisois (a protected "Natura 2000 Zone" & ZNIEFF for its rich ecosystems of flora & fauna). Absolutely rejuvenating and enchanting setting & site. Splendid scenery and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, with the Clunisois, Mâconnais & Beaujolais mountains in the background. Spacious, comfortable gîte. Warm country charm with contemporary accents, enhanced by a magnificent wrought-iron "spiral" staircase (from a 19th-century chapel), and rich traces of the original building (stone walls, beams & reconstruction of the "séchoir"). Lots of charm. Ultra cozy. Cosy, cocooning atmosphere. Large enclosed terrace (exposed & shaded), enclosed by the famous "pierres levées" (raised stones) that give the house its name.
Composition: Detached house on 2 levels. Electric underfloor heating + wood-burning stove. Ground floor: kitchen, living room, separate toilet. 1st floor: 2 bedrooms (bed 2 p. 140x190cm / bed 1 p. 90x190cm), bathroom (shower/Wc). Enclosed terrace (25m²) + private parking. Skitty En campagne
