A stunning "countryside loft"—featuring a 4-person outdoor Spa sheltered under a pergola—nestled in the heart of the Couchois Vineyards! An authentic 19th-century wine press—a characterful building once part of a historic wine estate—has been carefully and completely renovated into an elegant, contemporary-inspired holiday cottage, tucked away in a quiet setting on a beautiful, historic estate within a peaceful, picturesque little wine-growing village, 2.5 km from the charming medieval market town of Couches, designated a “Station Verte de Vacances” (all amenities available on site and exceptional heritage sites, including the famous 13th-century castle of Marguerite de Bourgogne, Queen of France, and the seven menhirs of Epoigny, one of Burgundy’s most significant megalithic sites). A magnificent scenic setting in the heart of rolling wine-growing countryside, featuring a succession of vineyard-covered slopes, wooded hills, and lush green valleys of meadows and hedgerows. An exceptionally prime location at the crossroads of the world-renowned vineyards of the Côtes de Beaune, the Hautes Côtes de Beaune, and the Côtes Chalonnaises, along the Wine Route (connected to the nearby “Route des Grands Crus”), several hiking trails marked as “green walks” (winding through Vineyards and the great outdoors), the GR 137 trail, which connects to the GR 7 and GR 76 trails and the superb GRP “Au Fil des Vignobles et Vallées,” adjacent to the Romanesque churches circuit, 8 km from the greenway (connected to EuroVelo 6) and a 24-km “favorite cycling loop” (another similar route is 10 km away), and 8 km from the Canal du Centre (a navigable route to explore by Boat or on foot). Ideally located at the crossroads of the Côte d’Or, where the rich regions of Chalonnais, Pays Beaunois, Autunois, and the Morvan—along with its Natural Park—meet. 8 km from Saint-Léger-sur-Dheune (and its river Marina connected to the Canal du Centre), 13 km from the spa town of Santenay (with a Casino on site), 18 km from Le Creusot (home to the renowned Les Combes amusement park / Le Creusot TGV station 22 km away), 25 km from Autun (designated a “City of Art and History,” boasting a priceless heritage spanning over 2,000 years of human history), 30 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (designated a “City of Art and History”), 31 km from Beaune, 49 km from the famous Gallo-Roman archaeological site of Bibracte, designated a “Grand Site de France,” and 58 km from Tournus. The perfect retreat for a soothing, ultra-comfortable “Wellbeing” getaway, whether with family or as a couple!

Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.
Jennifer & Éric open the doors of an authentic 19th-century wine press, carefully restored to the highest artistic standards, set on a property steeped in history (a former winegrowing estate that has been perfectly restored). Total tranquility on the edge of a lane & meadow (home to peaceful Charolais cows in season), in the heart of a picturesque Couchois wine village nestled on a south-east-facing hillside overlooked by an elegant 13th & 16th-century château nestling on a feudal motte (including one of the rare 18th-century winery & cellar complexes in Burgundy). Nestled in the countryside along the ancient Roman road Agrippa, in a bucolic valley of vineyards, meadows & wooded hills, the village boasts a notable heritage and a magnificent hilly landscape. Spacious, comfortable gîte. Large "cathedral" living room bathed in light thanks to an imposing glass roof. Warm, contemporary feel combines the industrial spirit of a literal "loft" with a "country & brocante chic" ambience, enhanced by original stone walls & wooden lintels. Enormous charm, style & character. Cosy & cocooning. Fully equipped to a high standard. Large, intimate terrace, exposed & shaded, with a 4-seater outdoor spa (sheltered under a pergola), opening onto a pleasant garden planted with trees & lined with a historic surrounding wall (mini orchard: cherry, apple, pear, plum trees...). Beautiful unobstructed view of the surrounding countryside.
Composition: House adjoining the owners' home (total independence). Heat pump heating. Air-conditioning. Wifi access. Laundry room with outside access. Ground floor: living room-kitchen, shower room (shower/Wc). 1st floor: 2 bedrooms with TV (bed 2 p. 160x200cm electric / bed 2 p. 160x200cm), separate toilet. Private terrace with spa 4 p. (sheltered under pergola). Shared garden + courtyard. Private parking. Bike room. Bicycle rental available: 10€/p. per week. Amenities 2.5 km.
