Authentic former 19th century "fournier" (traditional bread oven) elegantly renovated into a very comfortable holiday home - featuring a beautiful heated Piscine (3x10m) in a natural swimming pool (privatized during dedicated hours from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.) - nestled on the edge of meadows in the heart of a small, typical village 8 km from Le Creusot (all amenities on site, including supermarkets), a famous industrial town steeped in history (all amenities and numerous leisure facilities on site, including the renowned Parc de loisirs des Combes) & 9 km from the charming medieval & shopping town of Couches (exceptional heritage, including the famous 13th-century château of Queen Marguerite de Bourgogne or the seven menhirs of Epoigny, one of Burgundy's most important megalithic sites). Soothing countryside surroundings, nestled in a peaceful, rolling landscape of wooded hills, bucolic ponds, deep forests and verdant bocage valleys. Ideally situated on the routes of several marked "green walks", 3 km from the GR137 (connected to the GR7 & GR76 as well as the superb GRP "Au Fil des Vignobles et Vallée"), 10 km from the greenway & EuroVélo6 linked to the "Tour de Bourgogne à Vélo" (following the famous Canal du Centre, "Le Fleuve tranquille", a navigable route to be explored by boat or on foot), 10 km from the Romanesque church circuit & 10 km from the first vineyards of Couchois & the "Route des Grands Vins" (extended by the illustrious "Route des Grands Crus" through the legendary wine villages of Puligny-Montrachet, Pommard, Meursault...). Location of choice at the crossroads of the Côte d'Or, at the crossroads of the rich territories of Autunois, Morvan & its Natural Park, Chalonnais & Pays Beaunois, not far from the world-renowned vineyards of Côtes de Beaune, Hautes Côtes de Beaune & Côtes Chalonnaises. 12 km from Le Creusot TGV station, 15 km from Saint-Léger-sur-Dheune (& its river Marina linked to the Canal du Centre), 23 km from the wine & spa town of Santenay (Casino on site), 25 km from Autun ("City of Art and History", rich in a priceless heritage spanning over 2000 years of human presence), 37 km from Chalon-sur-Saône ("City of Art and History"), 41 km from Beaune & 45 km from the famous Gallo-Roman archeological site of Bibracte ("Grand Site de France"). A soft, charming cocoon for a rejuvenating country break, with a rare "natural swimming pool" as a bonus! For families and lovers alike!

Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.

A delightful, carefully restored, authentic former 19th-century "fournier" (traditional bread oven) nestled in the heart of a typical farming village (with a beautiful 12th-century Romanesque church just a stone's throw away) perched on an exposed hillside at the foot of a very ancient volcano (the "Volcan de Drevin", 494 m high). A soothing, unspoilt countryside setting, nestled on the edge of a vast meadow plateau (with peaceful Charolais cows as neighbors...), in the heart of the gentle, rolling Creusot countryside, a succession of bocage valleys encircled by wooded hills, bucolic fish-filled ponds (including the vast 48-hectare Brandon Fishing Pond nearby) and deep, wild forests to explore on foot or mountain bike (numerous panoramic "belvederes"). Very comfortable Holiday cottage. A warm, contemporary feel enhanced by meticulous "ethnic" decoration inspired by the owners' various travels (between Asia, Madagascar, Jordan & the Maghreb). Lots of charm. Cosy, cozy & cocooning atmosphere. Large, exposed & shaded terrace opening onto a pleasant little natural garden featuring an imposing cherry tree, encircled by centuries-old dry-stone walls, and a rare Piscine heated in a "natural swimming pool". Magnificent unobstructed views over the surrounding Countryside, with the majestic medieval château of Brandon in the background (a 12th-century listed building steeped in history).
Comprising: Semi-detached house (total independence). Wifi access. Electric heating + wood stove. Ground floor: living room-kitchen, shower room (shower/Wc). 1st floor: mezzanine bedroom (2 beds 140x190cm), bedroom (2 single beds 90x190cm that can be twinned to form a 2-bed 180x190cm), separate toilet. Terrace + garden + private parking. Heated Piscine (3x10m) in a natural swimming pool (private use from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.). Supermarket 6 km. All amenities 8 km. TGV line nearby.
