Postcard landscape in the land of the mythical "Chardonnay" grape variety! Authentic, fully-restored traditional 19th-century home nestled in the heart of a peaceful, picturesque winegrowing hamlet, 5 km from Lugny ("the little capital of the Haut-Mâconnais", the leading Burgundy wine-producing cellar) & 11 km from the charming gastronomic and shopping town of Tournus, with its world-renowned abbey site (A6 freeway, all amenities and numerous sports and leisure facilities on site). Total peace and quiet in the heart of the Mâconnais Countryside, in the heart of a magnificent, unspoiled setting of gentle, rolling Vineyard mountains combining agriculture & nature, between vineyards, meadows & forests, largely protected as "Zones Natura 2000" & ZNIEFF for its rich ecosystems, overlooking the Val de Saône (nearby banks) in the wooded foothills of the Massif Sud Bourgogne. An ultra-privileged Location on the route of the Romanesque church circuit, a marked "balade verte" hiking trail (a vast network of similar hiking trails to be discovered throughout the region) & two FFC mountain bike trails (linked to a vast network of identical trails criss-crossing the massif, including the renowned GTM / Grand Tour du Massif Sud Bourgogne mountain bike trail), adjoining the "Route de Vins de Bourgogne" (Côtes Mâconnaises), which is extended by the "Route des Grands Vins" (Côtes Chalonnaises & Couchois), 6 km from the GR76, connected to the famous GR "Chemin de Cluny" (ViaCluny) and the mythical "Chemin des Moines" (linking the abbeys of Cîteaux and Cluny) & 8.5 km of the "Voie Bleue" (along the banks of the Saône) adjoining the "Voie Verte" of the "Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud" & the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de la Saône-et-Loire by bike). Prime location in the heart of the Mâconnais region, at the crossroads of the Ain, Tournugeois-Clunisois (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), Chalonnais & Bresse Bourguignonne, not far from the vineyards of Côtes Chalonnaises, Beaujolais as well as Cotes de Beaune & Hautes Cotes de Beaune. Ideal for easy access (A6 13 km away): 9 km from the medieval town of Brancion, 21 km from the rare Truchère Nature Reserve (remarkable protected ecosystem), 17 km from Cuisery (listed among the very exclusive 8 French "Villages du Livre"), 21 km from Pont de Vaux (river Marina linked to the Saône), 25 km from the medieval market town of Saint-Gengoux-le-National labeled "Cités de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté", 24 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, 26 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché train station 28 km away), 38 km from Louhans, 32 km from the sumptuous landscape gem of Roche de Solutré, classified as a "Grand Site de France", 39 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (classified as a "City of Art and History") & 43 km from Vonnas (Georges Blanc's gourmet village). A perfect "pied à terre", close to all amenities, for all wine and nature lovers!
