Magnificent panorama & landscaped setting! Elegant, authentic, traditional 18th-century Charolais farmhouse, fully renovated to create an ultra-comfortable, charming holiday home, nestled on the edge of meadows on the outskirts of a small rural hamlet, 3.5 km from the charming shopping town of La Clayette (numerous amenities including a supermarket 2.5 km away), nestled amphitheatrically on the shores of a 30-hectare pond bordered by a majestic medieval château (dating from 1380), a jewel in the crown of South Burgundy's heritage! A soothing, undulating setting of nature and greenery, perched like a "panoramic promontory" on a hill overlooking the gentle, unspoilt Brionnais Countryside (much of which is protected by ZNIEFF & Natura 2000 zones for its rich ecosystems), nestled in the heart of the bucolic local bocage dotted with rivers & ponds, in close proximity to beautiful wild forests, not far from Mont Saint-Cyr (highest point in southern Burgundy at 771m), bordering the verdant Arconce valley & the first wooded foothills of the northern Beaujolais massif. Ultra-privileged location on the Romanesque church circuit & marked hiking trails, including a "balade verte" (vast network of hiking trails of the same type criss-crossing the region, to be explored on foot or mountain bike), 2 km from the "Cycloroute71" (bicycle tour of Saône-et-Loire), 9 km from the GR7, 15 km from a marked "VTT-FFC" mountain bike trail (linked to a vast network of similar trails criss-crossing the Brionnais region), 19 km of a Voie Verte serving the Canal du Centre (linked to EuroVélo6 and the "Tour de Bourgogne à Vélo"), 29 km of the Voie Verte "Véloire" running along the banks of the Loire (Europe's last wild river, protected as a Natura 2000 area), about 30 km from the first vineyards of the Beaujolais (the first vineyard in the world to be recognized as a UNESCO World Geopark), about 40 km from the Côtes Mâconnaises ("Burgundy Wine Route" & various Beaujolais Wine Routes to discover) and about 50 km from the Côtes Roannaises. At the southern tip of Burgundy, in the heart of the superb Charolais-Brionnais region, which has been awarded the "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire" label, a land of livestock farming and traditions (cradle of the world-renowned AOC cattle breed), rich in sumptuous landscapes and an exceptional historical heritage, at the crossroads of the Allier, Loire & Rhône departments, at the crossroads of the Clunisois-Tournugeois (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), Mâconnais, Beaujolais, Pays Roannais as well as Sologne & Mountain Bourbonnaise. 15 km from Saint-Christophe-en-Brionnais & its iconic weekly "Market aux Bestiaux" dating from the end of the 15th century (one of the oldest in France), 19 km from Charolles, 23 km from Charlieu, 24 km from the medieval village of Semur-en-Brionnais awarded the rare "Plus beaux villages de France" label, 28 km from Marcigny (famous Monday morning market created in 1266), 30 km from Paray-le-Monial, 36 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of the Beaujolais region), 38 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, 43 km from Digoin (river Marina), 45 km from Roanne, 47 km from the sumptuous landscape of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson labelled "Grand Site de France" & 52 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché TGV station 51 km away). The perfect "refuge" for a relaxing "green getaway" with family or friends, just a stone's throw from nature, leisure facilities (including a Piscine 2 km away) and amenities!

Vivement notre prochaine visite !!!!
