Total tranquility in a small rural hamlet adjoining the picturesque village of Passy, in a magnificent, unspoilt setting of pastures & meadows nestled beneath the wooded ridges of a beautiful wild forest, not far from a vast natural area classified and protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone" for its rich ecosystem. Ideally located on the route of the Romanesque church circuit & numerous signposted "balades vertes" hiking trails (very rich network of hiking trails criss-crossing the countryside to discover the area), just a stone's throw from the GR7 & GR76 (2.5 km & 5 km respectively), 11 km from the first Mâconnais vineyards & the "Route des Vins de Bourgogne", 10 km from a gentle cycle route connected to EuroVélo6, 20 km from the "voie verte" and very close to 3 referenced "boucles vélos coup de cœur" (three itineraries of 24, 27 & 63 kms accessible between 15 & 20 km). Particularly privileged location in the heart of southern Burgundy, at the crossroads of the Côtes Chalonnaises & Mâconnais vineyards, at the crossroads of the Tournugeois-Clunisois (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), the Mâconnais, the Charollais-Brionnais (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire") & the Chalonnais, splendid preserved territories, rich in sublime landscapes, renowned gastronomy & an exceptional heritage. Ideal location for exploring: 15 km from the medieval town of Mont-Saint-Vincent, 19 from the medieval village of Saint-Gengoux-le-National (classified as a "Cités de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté"), 26 km from Charolles, 39 km from Paray-le-Monial, 40 km from Le Creusot (renowned Combes amusement park / Creusot TGV station 33 km away), 40 km from Tournus (world-renowned abbey site), 44 km from the sublime landscaped gem of Roche de Solutré labelled "Grand Site de France", 46 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché TGV station 44 km away) & 46 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (labelled "Ville d'Art et d'Histoire"). Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.

Jocelyne & Alain welcome you to a delightful, fully-restored, traditional 19th-century farmhouse - adjacent to their charming holiday home, which they never occupy when the gîte is occupied, so as to "privatize" the premises completely for their guests - nestled in the calm of the rolling Countryside, in the very heart of the bucolic Charolais bocage, with the famous cows as peaceful, close neighbors. Absolute tranquility nestled in a miniature rural hamlet in a cul de sac, just a stone's throw from the center of the picturesque village of Passy, where an elegant 12th-century Romanesque church sits enthroned. Magnificent countryside setting, nestled in a vast plateau of pastures and meadows dotted with small fish-filled rivers, nestled beneath the wooded ridges of a large, wild forest that dominates the valley (to be explored on relaxing walks or mountain bike rides). Splendid landscaped setting, 100% soothing & relaxing, offering the rare privilege of being able to observe wildlife even from the Holiday cottage (roe deer, foxes, hinds...). A comfortable Holiday cottage combining the gentle simplicity of a vintage country style with the rich traces of the original building (conservation of the stone fireplace mantel and the period roof structure), in the exotic atmosphere of an old home. Rooms nestled under the roofs in "cocoon cabin" style. Sheltered terrace overlooking the courtyard (as desired or required). Pleasant lawned garden. Beautiful unobstructed view of the surrounding green Countryside.
Composition: Detached house on 2 levels. Wifi via rechargeable Orange Airbox. Electric heating + wood stove. Portable washing machine. Ground floor: living room-kitchen, shower room, separate toilet. 1st floor: 2 souped-up bedrooms (2 x 140x190cm beds / 2 x 90x190cm bunk beds). Covered terrace + terrace overlooking courtyard + garden + bike room + private parking. Shops including supermarket 13 km away. Railway station 27 km.

Liebevoll gepflegtes Ferienhaus, sehr ruhige Lage

Cordialement . Alain et Jocelyne
