Elegant, charming gîte - some with en-suite bedrooms - nestled in a delightful, traditional 19th-century character house, carefully restored to the highest standards, in the heart of the rolling Charolais countryside, in the splendid local bocage, 1 km from the peaceful, typical village of Martigny-le-Comte & 16 km from Charolles, the "Venice of Charolais", famous city of Charles the Bold (all amenities on site). Beautiful exposure & superb panorama, perched on a hillside, in a sublime "open" and preserved setting of vast pastures, meadows & forests. Ideally situated close to the Romanesque church circuit, on the route of a marked "balade verte" footpath (a very rich network of marked hiking trails of the same type to be explored in the area), 8 km from the EuroVélo6 cycle route, 9 km from a referenced 63 km "boucle vélo coup de cœur", 11 km from the famous Canal du Centre (discover it by boat or on foot), 21 km from the voie verte and some 30 km from the first vineyards of the Côtes Maconnais & Chalonnaises (various wine routes to explore). Right in the heart of the sublime Charolais-Brionnais region ("Pays d'Art et d'Histoire" label / cradle of world-renowned AOC cattle & sheep breeds), rich in sumptuous landscapes and exceptional historical heritage. Ideal location for exploring: 19 km from the medieval town of Mont-Saint-Vincent, 26 km from Paray-le-Monial, 35 km from La Clayette, 36 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, 38 km from Digoin (Digoin river marina connected to the "Canal du Centre" & "canal tranquille" linking Digoin to Roanne), 44 km from Marcigny & 42 km from Le Creusot (Combes amusement park / Le Creusot TGV station 37 km away). The ideal resort for an ultra-comfortable country break with your mini-tribe!

Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.

Delightful, traditional 19th-century house of character, very carefully restored & steeped in history (once linked to an important local farm), quietly situated in rolling countryside in a sublime, unspoilt setting of greenery & nature, on the very edge of pastures & meadows (with the famous Charolais cows as the only privileged neighbors), not far from the peaceful, typical village of Martigny-le-Comte (& its 12th-century Romanesque church) & several vast, wild forests. Beautifully exposed, perched "on a balcony" on the hillside, in a "panoramic belvedere" overlooking a vast plateau of bucolic bocage. Magnificent unobstructed views over the surrounding countryside. Exceptional setting & landscaped site, 100% soothing & relaxing. Magnificent panoramic views & postcard rural landscape. Comfortable, high-standard gîte. Ultra spacious. Spacious living areas. Rooms of noble dimensions. Very elegant country style with contemporary accents, plush & refined, enhanced by a particularly careful heritage restoration (conservation of the old stone walls, stone & wood lintels, fireplace mantels, floor tiles etc... of origin). Enormously charming. Very cozy, cosy & cocooning atmosphere. Large, sheltered panoramic terrace. Vast & pleasant lawned garden.
Composition: Detached house on 2 levels. Wifi connection. PAC heating. Double wood-burning stove. Air conditioning on first floor. Ground floor: living room/kitchen, lounge, bedroom (2 beds 160x200cm) with private "open" shower room (shower/WC), separate WC. 1st floor: large mezzanine/playroom area, 3 bedrooms (2 x 1-bed 90x190cm / 2 x 160x200cm / 2 x 1-bed 90x190cm), one with private "open" bathroom (shower + bath + WC), shower room, separate WC. Sheltered terrace + courtyard + garden + bike room + private parking. Supermarket 10 km away. All amenities 15 km. Railway station 25 km.
