Literally magical & enchanting little "Countryside" just a stone's throw from the famous Grottes d'Azé (a listed prehistoric site unique in Burgundy). Charming guest house - with a beautiful 8x4m swimming pool - nestled in a delightful authentic 19th-century Burgundian character property, steeped in history & fully restored to the highest standards, on a vast, well-kept 2000m² estate, on the outskirts of a picturesque wine-growing & shopping village, 9 km from the charming village of Lugny ("the little capital of the Haut-Mâconnais", with its famous "Accrobranche" site & the leading Burgundy wine-producing winery) & 10 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, one of Burgundy's most beautiful pearls, with the prestigious "European Heritage" label (all amenities on site, including supermarkets). Absolute peace and quiet just a stone's throw from the vineyards, in a bucolic valley of meadows on the edge of a vast wild Forest, in the gentle, undulating wine-growing Countryside of the Haut-Mâconnais (famous Chardonnay grape variety), on a ZNIEFF protected site (for its rich ecosystems), in the heart of the Southern Burgundy Massif (a splendid preserved area largely protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone", rich in exceptional panoramic belvederes, to be explored on foot or mountain bike). Ultra-privileged location on the Romanesque church circuit, numerous signposted footpaths, including several "balades vertes" (a vast network of identical hiking trails), the "Route de Vins de Bourgogne" (extended by the "Route des Grands Vins"), the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de la Saône-et-Loire by bike), the renowned GTM mountain bike circuit (VTT FFC label) (Grand Tour du Massif Sud Bourgogne linked to a vast network of similar signposted mountain bike trails criss-crossing the massif), 5 km from the GR76 linked to the famous GR "Chemin de Cluny" (ViaCluny) and the mythical "Chemin des Moines" (linking the abbeys of Cîteaux and Cluny), 9 km from the renowned Mont Saint-Romain downhill mountain bike track & 12 km from the Voie Bleue, which runs along the banks of the Saône and is linked to the Voie Verte of the "Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud". Location in the heart of the Mâconnais & its famous vineyards, at the crossroads of the Ain, Tournugeois-Clunisois (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), Chalonnais & Bresse Bourguignonne, not far from the world-renowned vineyards of the Côtes Chalonnaises, Beaujolais and Cotes de Beaune & Hautes Cotes de Beaune. Ideal for easy access: 10 km from the Golf de la Salle, 19 km from Mâcon (TGV Mâcon Loché station 21 km away), 13 km from Pont de Vaux (river marina linked to the Saône), 15 km from the medieval village of Brancion, 22 km from the sumptuous landscape jewel of the Roches de Vergisson & Solutré labelled "Grand Site de France", 25 km from Tournus, 27 km from the medieval village of Saint-Gengoux-le-National, a "Cités de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté", 37 km from Vonnas (Georges Blanc's gourmet village), 46 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (a "City of Art and History"), 48 km from Charolles & 52 km from Louhans. The perfect retreat for a soothing "green getaway" with a host of discoveries and a bonus of "farniente" by the Piscine! For lovers and families alike!
