Privileged location at the start of 3 marked "balade verte" hiking trails, 6 km from the GR76 km & 9 km from the GR7, 11 km from the Romanesque church circuit, 15 km from the Voie Verte (& its remarkable "Tunnel du Bois Clair", France's longest former railway tunnel open to a Voie Verte at 1.6 km), 16 km from a referenced 88 km "boucle vélo coup de cœur", 18 km from the renowned mountain bike circuit of the "Grand Tour du Massif Sud Bourgogne" (GTM), some 20 km from the first vineyards of Beaujolais & Côtes Mâconnaises (including the renowned "Val Lamartinien") and the "Route des Vins de Bourgogne". Prime location at the crossroads of Tournugeois-Clunisois (labelled "Pays d'Art & d'Histoire"), Mâconnais & Charolais-Brionnais (labelled "Pays d'Art & d'Histoire", cradle of world-renowned AOC cattle and sheep breeds), all rich in sublime landscapes, renowned gastronomy and a literally exceptional historical heritage (notably medieval & Romanesque). Ideal for touring (RCEA access 7 km away): 6 km from the renowned "Lab71" (a center for learning and discovery based on sustainable development, science, innovation & culture), 24 km from La Clayette, 27 km from Charolles, 29 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of Beaujolais), 33 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché TGV station 31 km away), 33 km from Touroparc Zoo, 44 km from Charlieu and 48 km from Paray-le-Monial. Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.

Véronique & Thierry open the doors of an authentic 19th-century country house, steeped in family history & meticulously restored, nestled on a well-exposed south-facing hillside, on the edge of a small alleyway, right in the heart of a peaceful, picturesque, perfectly preserved Haut-Clunysois village, home to a delightful listed 12th-century Romanesque church & an "agorespace" (leisure center with children's playground, multisports & pétanque area, picnic area...). Nestled "en balcon" on a hillside beneath the wooded crests of the gentle surrounding mountains, not far from Mont Saint-Cyr & its 771m, the highest point in southern Burgundy (a unique belvedere offering exceptional panoramic views as far as Mont-Blanc on a clear day!), this charming village boasts a magnificent undulating setting of nature & greenery (listed & protected), alternating bocages, meadows & beautiful wild forests, and borders the renowned Pézanin arboretum (5.5 km away / 400 species of deciduous and coniferous trees on over 25 ha, around a bucolic fishing pond). Spacious, comfortable gîte. Warm country charm, combining a delightfully vintage spirit with the refined "bourgeois" atmosphere of a gentle "family home". Lots of charm. Cozy & cosy. Pleasant 1500m² enclosed garden (grassed, planted, flowered & planted with trees), perfect play area for children. Small, panoramic, exposed balcony terrace offering splendid, unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside.
Composition : Semi-detached village house. Wifi connection. Oil-fired central heating. Entrance to gîte on one level from alleyway. 1st floor: living room-kitchen, living room-lounge, 1 bedroom (2-bed 140x190cm), bathroom (bath), separate WC. 2nd floor: 3 bedrooms (2 single beds 90x190cm / 2 single beds 160x200cm / 2 single beds 90x190cm), bathroom (bath/WC).

Cordialement. Véronique et Thierry.
