An authentic, unique country cottage dating from 1935, fully renovated—nestled in a pleasant, well-maintained 2,500-square-meter garden—just a stone’s throw from the banks of the Seille River (a rare natural area designated as a “Natura 2000” site for its remarkable ecosystems), within a rural residential hamlet (in a suburban area) 5 km from Louhans (all amenities nearby, including a supermarket 3.5 km away), the historic capital of the Burgundian Bresse, famous for its iconic medieval shopping street with its “157 arcades” (one of the most remarkable of its kind in both France and Europe) as well as for its highly renowned “Monday Market,” designated a “Remarkable Site du Goût.” Nestled in the heart of the unspoiled, gentle Bresse countryside around Louhans (largely protected as a ZNIEFF), a bucolic, natural setting that blends agriculture with the great outdoors, between vast plains of fields and meadows dotted with ponds and rivers and beautiful wild forests, nestled between Bresse and Revermont, not far from the foothills of the nearby Jura Mountains and its Natural Park (featuring numerous hiking trails, including the “Bresse Comtoise” GRP, which connects to the GR59—well worth exploring). A prime location along the routes of numerous nature trails, including various designated “green walks” (an extensive network of similarly marked trails to explore in the area, on foot or by mountain bike), 3.5 km from the “Voie Bressane” Greenway (which runs alongside “Cycloroute 71” / the Saône-et-Loire Cycling Tour) and connects to the Bresse Jurassienne Greenway as well as the Blue and Greenways of “the Great Loop of Southern Burgundy” running along the Saône River, not far from the Romanesque church circuit, about 30 km from the Vineyards of the Jura and the Mâconnais Coast, about 40 km from the Côtes Chalonnaises, and about 60 km from the prestigious, world-renowned Vineyards of the Côtes de Beaune and Hautes Côtes de Beaune (various wine routes to explore, including the “Route des Vins de Bourgogne” and the “Route des Grands Vins,” which extends into the illustrious “Route des Grands Crus”). In the heart of the Burgundian Bresse—the birthplace of the famous Bresse poultry AOC—at the crossroads of the Ain and Jura departments, where the Chalonnais, the Jura Bresse, the Mâconnais, the Tournugeois-Clunisois (designated a “Pays d’Art et d’Histoire”), and the Bresse de l’Ain. Ideal for exploring the region: 18 km from the renowned Bresse Raceway (offering a variety of car, motorcycle, and go-kart activities across 48 ha), 22 km from Cuisery, listed among France’s highly exclusive “Villages du Livre,” 23 km from the medieval town of Romenay, 25 km from Cuiseaux (“the Village of Painters”), 29 km from the rare Truchère Nature Reserve (a remarkable protected ecosystem), 30 km from Pierre-de-Bresse (designated a “Cité de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté”), 30 km from Tournus, 30 km from Lons-le-Saunier, capital of the Jura (spa town), 37 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (designated a “City of Art & History”), 41 km from Seurre, and 57 km from Beaune. The perfect “affordable getaway” just a stone’s throw from all amenities and the great outdoors!

Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.
Jean-Paul and Marie-Rose (a former local elected official and a true “living history of the area”) welcome you to an authentic Bresse farmhouse built in 1935, featuring a completely unique architectural style and fully renovated, nestled in a suburban area (within easy reach of all amenities) in the heart of a residential hamlet bordered by forests and gentle, wooded meadows adjacent to the center of Vincelles, a charming little village nestled on the banks of the Seille (a bucolic, preserved natural river steeped in history, perfect for exploring on relaxing “cruises,” such as by kayak or license-free Boats / two Marinas within a 5-km radius), a remarkable protected ecosystem designated as a “Natura 2000” site, appreciated by both anglers and nature lovers (a reserve for migratory birds, rare plant species, numerous fish including the famous catfish, animals, and wildlife…). Nestled in the heart of the unspoiled Louhannaise countryside (largely protected as a ZNIEFF for its rich flora and fauna), a serene natural setting (perfect for exploring on foot or by bike) that blends agriculture with unspoiled nature, amid vast, wooded plains of fields and meadows dotted with ponds and rivers and beautiful, untamed forests, nestled between Bresse and Revermont, not far from the foothills of the nearby Jura Mountains. A comfortable holiday cottage converted from the former stables. Warm, rustic charm with a refreshing “old-world” feel, blending “rustic” and “vintage” styles with contemporary touches. An intimate, spacious, well-tended garden, full of flowers, with lawns and trees (featuring numerous fruit trees: vineyard peaches, apple trees, fig trees, pear trees, cherry trees, and even very rare Brazilian “guava” trees! / You’re welcome to participate in picking during your stay), flanked by a pleasant outdoor seating area (naturally shaded under the trees or in the sun, as you prefer).
Layout: Holiday cottage within the owner’s home (complete privacy). Wi-Fi (fiber). Gas heating. Single-story holiday cottage on the ground floor: living room-kitchen-dining area (with a 2-person sofa bed, 140x190 cm, as an extra bed), 1 bedroom (double bed 140x190 cm + 2 single beds 90x190 cm), bathroom (shower), separate toilet. Shared property with owners (2,500 m² / courtyard + garden) with private patio furniture. Private parking. Supermarket 3.5 km away. All amenities 5 km away.
