Exceptional site steeped in history! Delightful traditional 18th-century Mâconnaise residence - completely renovated into an ultra-comfortable holiday home - nestled in the heart of an authentic, peaceful, perfectly preserved medieval hamlet (a renowned Burgundy site that once hosted the famous "Dames de Lancharre"), in the Countryside between Grosnes & Saône, 10 km from the charming medieval town of Saint-Gengoux-le-National, which has been awarded the "Cités de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté" label (many local amenities including supermarket) & 14 km from Tournus, a world-renowned abbey site on the banks of the Saône (all shops & services and river Marina / A6 access). Bucolic, gentle Countryside, nestled on the edge of meadows at the foot of the wooded foothills of the South Burgundy Massif (a superb wild & preserved area), a stone's throw from a vast state-owned Forest and the first Vineyards, in the heart of a site protected as a "Zone Natura 2000" & ZNIEFF (for its rich ecosystems). Ultra-privileged location at the crossroads of the Mâconnais & Côtes Chalonnaises vineyards, on the "Burgundy Wine Route" (extended by the "Route des Grands Vins"), the Romanesque church circuit, several signposted "balades vertes" hiking trails (a vast network of similar footpaths and mountain bike trails), 1 km from the GR76, connected to the famous GR "Chemin de Cluny" (ViaCluny) and the mythical "Chemin des Moines" (linking the abbeys of Cîteaux and Cluny), 1.5 km from the renowned GTM mountain bike circuit with "VTT FFC" accreditation (Grand Tour du Massif Sud Bourgogne linked to a vast network of signposted mountain bike trails of the same type criss-crossing the massif), 7 km from the Voie Verte of the "Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud" linked to the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de la Saône-et-Loire à vélo), 12 km of a marked cyclo itinerary serving the Voie Verte of the famous Canal du Centre (linked to the EuroVélo6 cycle route and the "Tour de Bourgogne à Vélos"), 14 km of the Voie Bleue along the banks of the Saône & 14 km of the renowned Mont Saint-Romain downhill mountain biking track. Location at the crossroads of the Tournugeois-Clunisois (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), the Mâconnais, the Chalonnais and the Bresse Bourguignonne, rich in grandiose landscapes and a literally unique historical heritage (notably medieval and Romanesque). Ideal for easy access to the whole of southern Burgundy: 6 km from the medieval village of Brancion, 21 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, 29 km from the medieval village of Mont-Saint-Vincent (one of Burgundy's most beautiful sites, with a literally unique 360° panoramic "belvedere"), 31 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (classified as a "City of Art and History"), 39 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché TGV station 41 km away), 43 km from the magnificent landscape of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson, classified as a "Grand Site de France", 41 km from Louhans & 46 km from Charolles. A perfect cocoon, full of charm, for a soothing country break with your mini-tribe, combining nature and Vineyard & heritage discoveries!

Delightful traditional 18th-century Mâconnaise home, carefully restored to the highest standards, nestled in a peaceful setting on the edge of lanes and meadows, on the outskirts of a peaceful hamlet steeped in "great history", once home to a Priory founded in the 11th century - the remains of which remain - dedicated to young girls from the local nobility (the famous "Dames de Lancharre"). Perfectly preserved & rich in an exceptional heritage (listed 11th-century Romanesque church, beautiful typical houses, listed medieval tombstones, 15th-century tile factory, fortified gateway to a former royal abbey...), the site enjoys a bucolic & natural setting, nestled on the edge of fields at the edge of a vast Forest, not far from the first vineyards & wooded hills of the South Burgundy Massif (superb wilderness to explore on foot or mountain bike). Spacious, comfortable Holiday cottage. Warm country charm with contemporary accents (punctuated by a few Unusual "sixties" touches), enhanced by meticulous heritage restoration (majestic beams, stone & brick fireplace mantel, walls & imposing stone door lintels, terracotta floor tiles, etc.).
