Peace and quiet in the heart of the countryside, nestling on a hillside on a small, well-exposed southern plateau - overlooking the famous & sublime rolling Charolais-Brionnais bocage stretching as far as the eye can see - with a splendid, unobstructed view of the surrounding countryside. A magnificent, unspoilt setting of nature and greenery, a succession of vast meadows, pastures, forests, rivers and fish-filled ponds. A totally restful, rejuvenating & relaxing setting. Splendid panorama & scenery (note the presence of wind turbines in the distance, "on the horizon"). 4.5 km from the small village of Chalmoux, with its elegant listed 12th-century Romanesque church & the remains of an ancient feudal castle, also known for its history as a former mining town for pyrite, iron and copper, once exploited by the Compagnie du Creusot (Chizeuil mining concession).
