Soothing & bucolic countryside nestled in the heart of meadows, just a stone's throw from beautiful wild forests! Authentic, fully-restored traditional 19th-century farmhouse - nestled on a small, family-run dairy farm - perched in a "panoramic belvedere" on the south-facing hillside, in a "dispersed rural hamlet" overlooking the picturesque & peaceful village of Buffières, in the gentle Cluny Countryside (protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone" for its rich ecosystems), 12 km from the typical village of Saint-Bonnet-de-Joux (supermarket on site) and 18 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, with its prestigious "European Heritage" label (all amenities on site). Tranquility & superb panorama, in the heart of a magnificently preserved setting combining agriculture, nature & viticulture, nestled between the verdant Grosne & Guye valleys, "at the foot" of the iconic panoramic sentinel of the Butte de Suin (culminating at 600m altitude), not far from the wooded foothills of the southern Burgundy massif and the northern Beaujolais massif (vast mountain-biking areas to explore). Ideally located on the route of many marked "balades vertes" hiking trails (a very rich network of similar trails throughout the region), 1 km from the GR76 and adjoining the GR7, adjoining the Romanesque church circuit, 7 km from the "Cycloroute 71" (Tour de la Saône-et-Loire by bike), 16 km from the "Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud" Voie Verte (& its remarkable "Tunnel du Bois Clair" at 18 km, France's longest former railway tunnel open to a Voie Verte at 1.6 km), 18 km from the renowned GTM mountain-bike trail ("Grand Tour du Massif Sud Bourgogne" linked to a vast network of identical signposted mountain-bike trails criss-crossing the massif), some 20 km from the first vineyards of the Côtes Mâconnaises (& the renowned "Val Lamartinien"), about 30 km from the vineyards of Beaujolais (the world's first vineyard to be recognized as a UNESCO Geopark) and Côtes Chalonnaises ("Route des Vins de Bourgogne" extended by the "Route des Grands Vins" & "Route des Vins du Beaujolais" to explore). Ultra-privileged location, in the very heart of southern Burgundy, on the borders of the Clunisois-Tournugeois (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), at the crossroads of the Mâconnais, Chalonnais and Charolais-Brionnais regions, cradle of the world-renowned AOC cattle breed (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"). Location for easy access: 22 km from Taizé (& its famous religious community), 23 km from Charolles, 27 km from Saint-Gengoux-le-National (labelled "Cités de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté"), 31 km from the sumptuous landscape gem of Roche de Solutré labelled "Grand Site de France", 31 km from the medieval village of Mont-Saint-Vincent (one of the most beautiful sites in Burgundy, with a literally unique 360° panoramic "belvedere"), 32 km from La Clayette, 33 km from Mâcon (TGV stations: Mâcon Loché 31 km), 35 km from the medieval village of Brancion, 36 km from Paray-le-Monial, 43 km from Tournus, 43 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of Beaujolais) & 49 km from Le Creusot TGV station. An exotic "pied à terre" for a relaxing "mise au vert"! For lovers and families alike!
