An exceptional haven of peace & relaxation, nestled on a site steeped in history! Authentic, traditional 18th-century "tuilerie", carefully converted into a comfortable holiday home, nestled on a rare, well-kept 7-hectare property, part of which is listed as a "Monument Historique" (including a small private pond with boat, a veritable mini "ecosystem" in its own right), set in the quiet heart of a peaceful, perfectly preserved medieval hamlet (a renowned Burgundian site, once home to the famous "Dames de Lancharre"), nestled on the edge of a beautiful national forest, 10 km from the charming medieval town of Saint-Gengoux-le-National, a "Cités de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté" (many amenities including supermarket) & 14 km from Tournus, a world-renowned abbey site on the banks of the Saône (river Marina / A6 access). Total tranquility between Grosne & Saône, in the gentle rolling countryside of Tournus, a bucolic, unspoilt setting combining lush green bocage & vineyards, nestled at the foot of the wooded foothills of the South Burgundy Massif (a superb wilderness to explore on foot or mountain bike), in an area protected as a Natura 2000 & ZNIEFF zone (for its very rich ecosystems). Ultra-privileged location at the crossroads of the Mâconnais & Côtes Chalonnaises vineyards, on the "Route des vins de Bourgogne" (extended by the "Route des Grands Vins"), the Romanesque church circuit, several hiking trails marked out as "balades vertes" (a vast network of hiking trails of the same type to be discovered throughout the region), 1 km from the GR76 connected to the famous GR "Chemin de Cluny" (ViaCluny) and the mythical "Chemin des Moines" (formerly linking the abbeys of Cîteaux and Cluny), 1.5 km from the renowned GTM mountain bike circuit with "VTT FFC" accreditation (Grand Tour du Massif Sud Bourgogne linked to a vast network of signposted mountain bike trails of the same type criss-crossing the massif), 7 km from the Voie Verte of the "Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud" linked to the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de la Saône-et-Loire à vélo), 12 km of a marked cyclo itinerary serving the Voie Verte of the famous Canal du Centre (linked to the EuroVélo6 cycle route and the "Tour de Bourgogne à Vélos"), 14 km of the Voie Bleue along the banks of the Saône & 14 km of the renowned Mont Saint-Romain downhill mountain biking track. At the crossroads of the Tournugeois-Clunisois (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), the Mâconnais, the Chalonnais and the Bresse Bourguignonne, rich in grandiose landscapes and a literally unique historical heritage (notably medieval & Romanesque). Ideal for easy access: 6 km from the medieval village of Brancion, 21 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, 29 km from the medieval village of Mont-Saint-Vincent (one of Burgundy's most beautiful sites, with a literally unique 360° panoramic "belvedere"), 31 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (classified as a "City of Art and History"), 39 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché TGV station 41 km away), 41 km from Louhans, 43 km from the magnificent landscape of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson, classified as a "Grand Site de France" & 46 km from Charolles. A real little corner of paradise for young and old alike, for a "timeless break"...

Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.
Solange & Jean-Pierre (an artist and sculptor specializing in gilding), welcome you to a carefully restored authentic 18th-century "tuilerie" set in a peaceful, rare 7-hectare property (part of which is listed under French MH for its sumptuous "séchoir"), in the heart of a rural hamlet steeped in "great history", once home to a Priory founded in the 11th century (the remains of which remain) dedicated to young girls from the local nobility (the famous "Dames de Lancharre"). Perfectly preserved & rich in a unique heritage (listed 11th-century Romanesque church, beautiful typical houses, listed medieval tombstones, 15th-century tile factory, fortified gateway to an ancient royal abbey...), the site enjoys a bucolic & natural setting, nestled on the edge of a vast Forest in the hollow of verdant bocage meadows, a stone's throw from the first Vineyards. Very comfortable Holiday cottage. Lovely, light-filled "cathedral" living room under the roof. Warm country charm with modernist design touches, sublimated by the soul of the original building (Unusual skeleton of half-timbering, beams & terracotta floor tiles). Lots of charm. Large exposed & shaded terrace on the courtyard side, opening onto a vast, well-kept park with century-old trees dotted with the owner's works (with ping-pong table, swing, badminton-volleyball net, soccer pitch...), adorned with a bucolic private fish pond with its own boat, a veritable "mini nature reserve" in its own right (Koi carp, numerous birds...).
Composition: Detached house adjoining the owners' home (total independence without vis-à-vis). Wifi (fiber). TV (Canal +). Wood central heating. Ground floor: living room-kitchen, 1 bedroom (2 single beds 90x190cm), shower room, separate toilet. 1st floor: 1 bedroom (2 beds 160x200cm). Terrace (gravel) + garden (reserved space) + private parking. Bike room. Access to property (7 ha) & park with pond (shared). Small shops 7 km. Supermarket 10 km.
