Soothing little corner of the Countryside! Delightful, carefully restored traditional farmhouse dating from 1860 - nestled in a pleasant garden with pétanque court, swing and ping-pong table - nestled in a quiet, rural residential village, 5 km from Charolles, the "Venise Charolaise", famous charming shopping town steeped in history, stronghold of Charles le Téméraire (many amenities on site, including supermarkets, sports and leisure facilities). Absolute tranquility nestled in the unspoilt Charolais Countryside, a magnificent hilly landscape combining agriculture and nature (largely protected as a ZNIEFF for its rich ecosystems), in the heart of the sublime local bocage dotted with rivers, ponds & beautiful wild forests, not far from Mont Saint-Cyr (highest point in southern Burgundy), nestled between the verdant Arconce valley & the first wooded foothills of the Beaujolais massif (partly protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone"). Location on the route of the Romanesque church circuit & several signposted footpaths, including a "balade verte" (a very rich network of hiking trails of the same type criss-crossing the region, to be explored on foot or mountain bike), 12 km from the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de la Saône-et-Loire by bike), 13 km from the "Voie Verte Véloire" (along the Loire), the last "wild river in Europe" protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone") connected to the EuroVélo6 & the Voie Verte du Canal du Centre, 16 km of signposted VTT-FFC mountain bike trails (linked to a vast network of similar routes criss-crossing the Brionnais region) and some 40 km from the first vineyards of the Mâconnais ("Route des Vins de Bourgogne") and Beaujolais (first vineyard in the world to be recognized as a UNESCO World Geopark / various wine routes to discover). Ideal for touring (RCEA access 6 km away): 17 km from La Clayette, 16 km from the Sacred Heart city of Paray-le-Monial, 25 km from Saint-Christophe-en-Brionnais & its iconic weekly "Market aux Bestiaux" dating from the late 15th century (one of the oldest in France, dedicated to the local Charolais star!), 29 km from Digoin (river Marina connected to the Canal du Centre & "quiet canal" linking Digoin to Roanne), 33 km from the medieval village of Semur-en-Brionnais awarded the rare "Plus beaux villages de France" label, 33 km from Marcigny ("Cluniac site" famous for its Monday morning market created in 1266), 37 km from Charlieu, 39 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, 48 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of Beaujolais), 50 km from the sumptuous landscaped jewel of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson labelled "Grand Site de France" & 55 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché TGV station 53 km away). A delightful and very comfortable "bubble of relaxation & rest", full of charm, ideal refuge for an ultra-relaxing "mini-tribe" getaway!

Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.

Both keen Hiking enthusiasts, Odile & Jean welcome you to an authentic, charming traditional farmhouse built in 1860, which has been lovingly converted into a gentle holiday retreat, nestling on the edge of pastures (where horses are kept in season), in a "panoramic belvedere" on a hill overlooking a green valley of wooded meadows where the Ozolette (a fish-filled river) flows. Peace & tranquility in the heart of unspoilt Charolais countryside (bordering a vast area protected as a ZNIEFF for its wealth of flora & fauna), nestled in the heart of a peaceful residential hamlet on the outskirts of a typical rural village (with a "citystade" just a stone's throw away). The surrounding countryside is beautifully undulating, combining agriculture and nature, and is immersed in the sublime local bocage, dotted with bucolic ponds (where the famous Charolais cows graze in season) and close to a small Forest. Spacious, comfortable Holiday cottage. Fully equipped to a high standard. Warm country charm with contemporary accents, enhanced by original beams and roof timbers. Cosy, ultra-cozy atmosphere. Cosy rooms nestled under the roof in "cocoon cabin" style. Enormous charm & character. Intimate property, carefully planted with flowers & trees, featuring a large courtyard with a vast south-facing terrace, a grassed garden area with swing, a pétanque court & a ping-pong table (sheltered if required). Beautiful unobstructed view of the surrounding Countryside.
Composition : Detached house. Wifi (fiber). PAC heating. Air-conditioning. Ground floor: living room-kitchen, 1 bedroom (bed 2 p. 160x200cm) with private bathroom (shower/Wc), separate toilet, large laundry room. 1st floor: 2 bedrooms (bed 2 p. 160x200cm / 4 beds 1 p. 90x190cm), shower room, separate toilet.
