Between City & Countryside on a site steeped in history! Authentic 17th-century stables carefully converted into a comfortable contemporary Holiday cottage nestled in a peaceful rural hamlet, a stone's throw from the vineyards, on a 24-hectare "organic" family winegrowing estate (home to numerous animals in the spirit of a "micro-farm") housing the majestic medieval château-fortress of Salornay (perfectly preserved building dating from the 13th century), 4 km from the charming shopping town of Charnay-les-Mâcon (including a supermarket 4 km away) & 6 km from Mâcon. Pleasant, unspoilt setting, nestled in the heart of the Mâcon countryside, in a delightful, undulating setting of vineyards, gentle meadows & vast, wild forests, bordering a vast area protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone" for the quality of its rich ecosystems. Ideally situated at the very heart of the bucolic vineyards of the Côtes Mâconnaises, on the borders of the Haut Beaujolais (the world's first vineyard to be recognized as a "UNESCO World Geopark"), adjacent to the renowned nearby "Val Lamartinien" (named after the famous French poet and writer who was born here), on the route of the "Burgundy Wine Route", the Romanesque church circuit & several signposted "balades vertes" footpaths (on foot or mountain bike, connected to the nearby GR76), 4 km from the Voie Verte de la Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud (& its remarkable "Tunnel du Bois Clair" 14 km away, France's longest former railway tunnel open to a Voie Verte at 1.6 km), 8 km of a signposted mountain bike itinerary (connected to the rich network of the sublime neighbouring Massif du Nord Beaujolais), 6.5 km of the Voie Bleue running alongside the Saône and linked to the EuroVélo17 cycle route, 7 km of the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de la Saône-et-Loire à vélo) & 11 km of the renowned GTM VTT FFC (Grand Tour du Massif Sud-Bourgogne linked to a vast network of identical trails criss-crossing the Massif). Ultra-privileged Location at the crossroads of the Rhône & Ain rivers, at the crossroads of the Mâconnais, Beaujolais, Clunisois-Tournugeois (with "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire" label), Bresse Bourguignonne and Bresse de l'Ain. Ideal for touring (A6 at 6 km & RCEA connection at 5 km): 9 km from the landscape jewel of Solutré & Vergisson labelled "Grand Site de France", 20 km from the renowned Touroparc Zoo animal park, 20 km from "Hameau Dubœuf" (1st vine & wine theme park in Europe), 21 km from the famous abbey town of Cluny, 24 km from Vonnas (gastronomic village of Georges Blanc), 29 km from the medieval village of Brancion, 32 km from Tournus, 40 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of Beaujolais), 41 km from Villefranche-sur-Saône, 46 km from Bourg-en-Bresse & 52 km from Charolles. Possibility of renting the property's 2 Holiday cottages together (with n°3278) for a total capacity of 6 people. A perfect cocoon to recharge your batteries "out of time", just a stone's throw from all amenities!

Winegrower & farmer by passion (set up in the spirit of a "micro farm", the property is home to llamas, sheep, donkeys, horses, a bassecour with swans & free-range rabbits!), Yves-Arnaud & his partner Cécile welcome you to their carefully restored 17th-century stables, adjacent to the sumptuous 13th-century medieval château-fortress of Salornay, steeped in history and perfectly preserved, on a 24-hectare winegrowing estate farmed organically (tastings & sales available). Quiet, rolling Mâconnais Countryside, set against a hillside on a vast plateau overlooking the Saône valley, in a peaceful rural hamlet. A delightful, unspoilt country setting in the heart of the Vineyard, combining bucolic meadows and extensive woodland, close to all amenities. Spacious, comfortable Holiday cottage. Warm country style with contemporary accents. Gentle sobriety in a soothing, Zen atmosphere. Access to the vast 24-hectare estate (including nearby Vineyards) and a private fishing pond 1 km away.
