Soothing little "corner of the countryside"! Charming authentic restored 18th-century farmhouse, steeped in history & fully restored - with a charming 80m² "suspended" walled garden featuring a lovely shaded terrace - nestled in the heart of a peaceful & picturesque residential rural mini hamlet, on the edge of meadows beneath the wooded ridges of the surrounding hills, 11 km from the charming medieval town of Saint-Gengoux-le-National, a "Site Clunisien" with the "Cités de Caractère de Bourgogne-Franche-Comté" label (many local amenities, including a supermarket). In the gentle rolling countryside of the southern Chalonnais region, very close to the first vineyards, in the lush green Guye valley (partly protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone" & "ZNIEFF" for its rich ecosystems), a peaceful, unspoilt natural setting, combining bucolic hedged farmland, rivers, vineyards & vast wild forests. Ultra-privileged location, at the crossroads of the Côtes Chalonnaises & Mâconnais vineyards, adjacent to the "Route des Vins de Bourgogne" (extended by the illustrious "Route des Grands Crus" passing through the mythical wine villages of Puligny-Montrachet, Pommard, Meursault...), ideally situated on the route of the Romanesque church circuit, a marked "balade verte" footpath (a rich network of similar hiking and mountain-biking trails in the area) & a signposted cycle route connected to the Eurovélo6 (along the famous Canal du Centre) and the "Tour de Bourgogne à Vélo", 4 km from the GR7 (adjoining the GR76), close to two "Coup de cœur" cycling loops (all accessible within a 10 km radius, the first being 10 km away) & 14 km from the Voie Verte of the "Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud". Prime central location in the very heart of southern Burgundy, on the borders of the Charolais-Brionnais (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire") & the Chalonnais, at the crossroads of the Tournugeois-Clunisois (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire") & the Mâconnais. Perfect for easy access: 10 km from the medieval village of Mont-Saint-Vincent (one of Burgundy's most beautiful sites, with a literally unique 360° panoramic "belvedere"), 27 km from Le Creusot (renowned Les Combes amusement park / Creusot TGV station 19 km away), 30 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, 33 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (labeled "Ville d'Art et d'Histoire"), 37 km from Tournus, 38 km from Charolles, 50 km from Paray-le-Monial (famous city of the "sacred heart"), 50 km from the sumptuous landscape jewel of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson (labelled "Grand Site de France"), 52 km from Mâcon (Mâcon Loché TGV station 51 km away) & 54 km from Autun (labelled "Ville d'Art et d'Histoire" & its exceptional heritage rich with over 2000 years of human presence). A literal haven of peace & rest for a relaxing family getaway!

Marie-Claire & Alain (amateur beekeepers whose hives are well away from the gîte), welcome you to a delightful authentic 18th-century traditional farmhouse, steeped in history & fully restored, nestled in a quiet cul de sac, in the heart of a peaceful & picturesque mini rural hamlet crossed by a bucolic little fish-filled river (once home to a mill). Absolute tranquility, nestled in rolling countryside, a stone's throw from the first vineyards, on the edge of a beautiful meadow (home to Charolais & Limousin cows in season), beneath the wooded crests of the surrounding gentle hills, at the foot of a vast wild forest massif featuring a literal "Sea of Stones" (a geological curiosity consisting of several clearings of granite blocks of all sizes over almost a kilometer). Magnificent countryside & natural setting, partly protected as a Natura 2000 zone & "ZNIEFF" for its wealth of flora & fauna. Enchanting setting & site, a true haven of peace & relaxation. Comfortable gîte. Warm country charm with a touch of the rustic mixed with the totally exotic soul of an old house. Intimate & very pleasant 80m² "suspended walled garden" bordering the meadows, carefully grassed & planted (supported by historic dry-stone walls), with a shaded terrace under a canisse. Exposed terrace at the foot of the gîte. Access to pétanque court & ping-pong table.
Composition : Gîte adjoining the owners' home (total independence). Wifi (fiber). Wood and electric central heating. Wood-burning stove. 1st floor (access by outside staircase): mini veranda, kitchen, living room, 1 bedroom (2 single beds 80x190cm, can be twinned to form a double bed 160x190cm), shower room, separate toilet. 2nd floor: 1 bedroom (1 bed 90x200cm + 2 beds 1 p. 80x190cm), TV lounge.
