Ultra-relaxing setting & site, nestled "au bord de l'eau" on the banks of the Loire, "Europe's last wild river" protected as a "Natura 2000 Zone" (for its exceptional ecosystems), just a stone's throw from the "canal tranquille" (linking Roanne to Digoin)! Authentic former stables set against a fully restored 19th-century farmhouse, nestled on the edge of fields & meadows in a peaceful rural hamlet, 7 km from the charming medieval & commercial town of Marcigny, a "Clunisois site" famous for its Monday morning Market, created in 1266 (many amenities on site, including supermarkets). Absolute tranquility in the gentle rolling Brionnais Countryside (classified as a ZNIEFF), in the heart of a magnificent, unspoilt landscape combining agriculture and nature, with bucolic bocages dotted with ponds and rivers, and gentle, wild forests. An ultra-privileged Location on the route of the Romanesque church circuit, several hiking trails marked out as "balades vertes" (a very rich network of identical hiking trails to be explored in the surrounding area, on foot or by mountain bike), and a mountain bike route with the "VTT-FFC" label (connected to a vast network of similar routes criss-crossing the region "en étoile"), 7 km from the Voie Verte "Véloire" running alongside the Loire and the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de Saône et Loire à vélo), 29 km from the Voie Verte du Canal du Centre connected to the EuroVélo6 cycle route and the "Tour de Bourgogne à Vélos", 20 km from the first vineyards of the Côtes Roannaises & 60 km from the vineyards of northern Beaujolais (various wine routes connected to the "Route des Vins de Bourgogne"). A prime location at the very southern tip of Burgundy, in the heart of the sublime Charolais-Brionnais region (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire"), a land of livestock breeding and tradition (cradle of the world-renowned AOC cattle breeds), rich in sumptuous landscapes and an exceptional historical heritage, at the crossroads of the Sologne & Bourbonnaise Mountains and the Roannais region, not far from the Mâconnais-Clunisois and Beaujolais regions. Ideal for exploring several départements (at the crossroads of Allier, Loire & Rhône): 11 km from the delightful medieval village of Semur-en-Brionnais, awarded the rare "Plus beaux villages de France" label, 11 km from Anzy-le-Duc (home to one of Burgundy's most beautiful Romanesque churches), 19 km from Saint-Christophe-en-Brionnais & its iconic weekly "Market aux Bestiaux" dating from the late 15th century (one of the oldest in France, literally a show dedicated to the local Charolais star!), 24 km from the "cité de caractère" of Charlieu (exceptional Romanesque Benedictine abbey), 29 km from the "cité du sacré cœur" of Paray-le-Monial, 30 km from Roanne, 30 km from Digoin (river Marina coiled at the convergence of 3 renowned canals, including the famous Canal du Centre), 31 km from La Clayette, 34 km from Charolles & 54 km from the famous PAL theme park. The perfect "pied à terre" for a breath of fresh air with family and friends alike! A veritable mini-paradise for all bird and nature lovers! Tourism and Handicap" & "Accueil Vélo" accredited.
