Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.
Burgundians by adoption, Myriam and Michel welcome you to the Charollais countryside, in a former priory nestled in a quiet hamlet. Overlooking a vast, secure, spring-fed pond, this ancient residence belonged to a descendant of the Duke of Aquitaine, owner of the fiefdom of Juchaux. The estate, which at the time included a château, residential and farm buildings, a garden and a rich orchard, was run by the monks of Cluny during the Middle Ages before becoming a private farming estate. Formerly furniture restorers, Myriam and Michel wanted to preserve the authentic atmosphere steeped in history. Spacious, comfortable gîte. Beautiful heritage restoration: old stone fireplaces, French ceilings, majestic spiral staircase. Large, shady, sunny walled garden with gravel terrace offering unobstructed views over the bocage and adjoining pond (swimming/fishing). A large games room (table tennis, trampoline) and inner courtyard are shared with the 2nd gîte.
Composition: Detached house (totally independent and not overlooked) located in a private estate. Oil-fired central heating. Raised ground floor: living room-lounge-kitchen, 2 bedrooms (2 twin beds 90x190cm / 3 single beds 90x190cm), bathroom (bath), separate WC. 1st floor: 4 bedrooms (2 single beds 90x190cm / 2 single beds. 140x190cm / 2 beds 1 p. 90x190cm / bed 2 p. 140x190cm), bathroom (bath/WC). Level -1: living room-kitchen, shower room, separate WC. Gravel terrace (accessible from level -1) + 300m2 enclosed garden. Courtyard + private parking + secure pond (swimming and fishing) + shared games room. Shops & services 9 km. TGV station: Le Creusot 44 km.
