Charming, unspoilt countryside on the Côte d'Or border, at the crossroads of the magnificent wine-growing areas of Couchois, Pays Beaunois & Chalonnais, with their world-renowned vineyards (Côtes Chalonnaises, Côtes de Beaune & Hautes Côte de Beaune). In the heart of the Autunois, a splendid territory steeped in history, rich in age-old traditions, legends & mysteries, exceptional heritage (ancient, medieval, industrial...) & absolutely grandiose landscapes (gentle rolling mountains combining bocages, verdant valleys and majestic deep forests), dotted with numerous marked hiking trails in the heart of nature (GR & "balades vertes"). A choice location on the Romanesque churches circuit & a "balade verte" hiking trail, 4 km from the "voie verte" connecting to the legendary GTMC mountain bike circuit (from Autun), 12 km from the first vineyards, not far from the famous wine routes (Route des Grands Vins & Route des Grands Crus). 20 km from Autun (labeled a "Ville d'Art et d'Histoire", with its priceless heritage spanning over 2000 years of human presence), 23 km from Le Creusot (& its renowned Combes amusement park / Le Creusot TGV station 27 km away), 41 km from Chalon-sur-Saône (labelled "Ville d'Art et d'Histoire"), 43 km from Beaune (world-renowned walled city, "capital of Burgundy wines"), 44 km from the famous Gallo-Roman archaeological site of Bibracte labelled "Grand Site de France" and 54 km from Château-Chinon. Comfortable gîte nestled in the converted stables of an authentic 19th-century Burgundy farmhouse, steeped in history and lovingly restored throughout. Quiet setting in the verdant autunoise countryside, in the heart of a peaceful & picturesque little rural hamlet - residential & agricultural - magnified by a majestic 15th-century medieval fortified castle enthroned at its center (Château de Morlet listed as a Monument Historique is just a stone's throw from the house). Nestled in a charming, unspoilt countryside setting, on a vast, undulating bocage plateau dotted with bucolic ponds and rivers, a succession of fields, meadows and forests. Comfortable gîte. Warm country charm with contemporary accents. Cosy, zen-like ambience with original floor tiles and beams as a nod to the house's rich past. Pleasant gravel terrace - exposed & shaded, depending - opens onto a spacious, intimate garden nestled out of sight - literally restful & relaxing - carefully planted with trees and flowers, home to the owner's vegetable garden (pick-your-own with his permission for the pleasure & happiness of fresh vegetables!). TRES CHOUETTE GITE
