Elegant, charming Holiday cottage, just a stone's throw from all amenities, in the very heart of the splendid Vineyard of the famous Saint-Véran cru! A delightful, authentic winegrower's house built in 1644, steeped in history & very carefully refurbished to the highest standards into an ultra-comfortable holiday home - complete with en-suite bedrooms - nestled in a peaceful, picturesque, perfectly preserved winegrowing village, 5 km from the sales agent town of Crêches-sur-Saône (with its large shopping area and supermarkets) & 10 km from Mâcon, Burgundy's southernmost city on the banks of the Saône. In the midst of rolling Countryside (much of which is protected by ZNIEFF & various Natura 2000 zones for its wealth of flora & fauna), on the borders of the Mâconnais & Haut Beaujolais (the world's first Vineyard to be recognized as a "UNESCO World Geopark"), nestled in the gentle Arlois valley, overlooking the Saône valley, in the continuation of the famous neighbouring "Val Lamartinien" (named after the famous French poet, writer & politician, a native of the area) & the sumptuous landscaped jewel of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson labelled "Grand Site de France" (located 8 km away), facing the South Burgundy massif (rich in a vast network of mountain bike trails labelled "VTT FFC"). A sublime, perfectly preserved landscape, combining viticulture and nature, perched on a vast plateau of vineyards dotted with rivers and wooded meadows, at the foot of a deep, wild Forest. An ultra-privileged Location on the "Burgundy Wine Route", the Romanesque church circuit, various signposted footpaths including a "Balade Verte" (numerous hiking trails of the same type to discover in the area, on foot or by mountain bike), the "Cycloroute71" (Tour de la Saône-et-Loire by bike) & a referenced mountain bike trail (linked to a vast "signposted mountain bike area" criss-crossing the massif), 3 km from the GR76 (connected to the superb GRP "Crus, Vignobles et Monts du Beaujolais"), 4 km from the Voie Bleue (running alongside the Saône) & 7 km from the Voie Verte of the "Grande Boucle de Bourgogne du Sud" (& its remarkable "Tunnel du Bois Clair" at 21 km, the longest former railway tunnel in France open to a Voie Verte with its 1.6 km). At the very southern tip of Burgundy, at the crossroads of the Rhône & Ain, Mâconnais, Beaujolais, Clunisois-Tournugeois (labelled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire") & Bresse de l'Ain. Ideal for commuting (A6 + A40 & RCEA connections 5.5 km away): 5.5 km from Mâcon Loché TGV station, 11 km from Touroparc Zoo animal park, 12 km from "Hameau Dubœuf" (Europe's 1st vineyard & wine theme park), 15 km from Golf de la Commanderie, 23 km from Vonnas (Georges Blanc's gastronomic village), 25 km from the renowned Grottes d'Azé, 25 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of Beaujolais), 27 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, 32 km from Villefranche-sur-Saône, 45 km from Tournus, 45 km from Bourg-en-Bresse & 49 km from the medieval village of Brancion. A soothing cocoon of charm & serenity, exuding the "art de vivre à la Countryside", an ideal "refuge" for a relaxing "tribal" stay immersed in the heart of the vineyards!
