Little house on the prairie"! Postcard panorama & landscape! Delightful, authentic 19th-century Brionnais farmhouse - with a pleasant enclosed garden - set on a hillside in a "panoramic belvedere", on the edge of meadows at the edge of a small wood, in the sublime local bocage, on the edge of a picturesque rural hamlet 4.5 km from the shopping town of La Clayette (many local amenities including supermarkets), nestling amphitheatrically on the shores of a 30-hectare lake bordered by a majestic medieval château (dating from 1380), one of the jewels of South Burgundy's heritage! Absolute peace & tranquility in unspoilt Countryside (classified as a ZNIEFF & Natura 2000 zone for its rich ecosystems), a magnificent hilly setting combining agriculture & nature between wooded pastures dotted with ponds & rivers and beautiful wild forests. Ideally located on the Romanesque churches circuit, the "Cycloroute71" (bicycle tour of Saône-et-Loire) & several natural footpaths, including a signposted "balade verte" (a vast network of similar paths criss-crossing the area, for walking or mountain biking), 8 km from a signposted VTT-FFC itinerary (linked to a vast network of similar routes criss-crossing the Brionnais region), 19 km from a Voie Verte serving the Canal du Centre (linked to EuroVélo6 and the "Tour de Bourgogne à Vélo"), 22 km from the Voie Verte "Véloire" running along the banks of the Loire (Europe's last wild river, protected as a Natura 2000 zone), about 40 km from the first vineyards of the Beaujolais (the world's first vineyard to be recognized as a UNESCO Geopark) and about 50 km from both the Côtes Maconnaises and the Cotes Roannaises ("Route des Vins de Bourgogne" & "Route des Vins du Beaujolais" to explore). Privileged location at the southern tip of Burgundy, not far from the first wooded foothills of the Beaujolais Mountains (including the legendary Dun Mountain at 708m), not far from Mont Saint-Cyr (highest point in southern Burgundy at 771m), bordering the verdant Arconce valley, in the heart of the superb Charolais-Brionnais region, which has been awarded the "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire" label - a land of livestock breeding and traditions, and the birthplace of the world-renowned AOC cattle breed - at the crossroads of the Allier, Loire & Rhône departments, at the crossroads of the Sologne & Bourbonnaise Mountains, the Roannais region, the Mâconnais-Clunisois and the Beaujolais. 7.5 km from Saint-Christophe-en-Brionnais & its iconic weekly "Market aux Bestiaux" dating from the late 15th century (one of the oldest in France, literally a show dedicated to the local Charolais star!), 17 km from the medieval village of Semur-en-Brionnais, which has been awarded the rare "Most Beautiful Villages in France" label, 20 km from Charlieu, 20 km from Charolles, 21 km from Marcigny (& its famous Monday morning market created in 1266), 27 km from Paray-le-Monial, 37 km from Digoin (river Marina nestled at the convergence of 3 renowned canals, including the famous Canal du Centre), 40 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of Beaujolais), 41 km from Roanne, 47 km from the illustrious abbey town of Cluny, 51 km from the sumptuous landscape jewel of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson labelled "Grand Site de France" & 59 km from the Mâcon Loché TGV station. A delightful cocoon for an ultra-relaxing "green getaway" with family and friends alike! A literal haven of peace & rest that lives up to its name....

Description 2026, subject to modifications for 2027: Please refer to the description sheet validated at the time of booking.
Annie & Jean-Charles open the doors to an authentic, charming, typical 19th-century Brionnais farmhouse, carefully restored as a gentle holiday retreat, perched on a hillside as a "lookout" & "panoramic belvedere" on a south-east-facing hillside, on the heights of a picturesque miniature rural residential hamlet bursting with charm (adorned with magnificent historic dry-stone walls). Absolute peace & quiet, set in a superb landscaped setting of unspoilt nature & greenery, nestled in a cul-de-sac on the edge of pastures, on the edge of a small wood, in the sublime local bocage (with the peaceful & famous Charolais cows as close neighbors). The setting & site are absolutely beautiful, literally enchanting, 100% relaxing & restful, overlooking a bucolic valley of fields & meadows in the heart of the unspoilt Brionnais Countryside (protected as a ZNIEFF & Natura 2000 zone for its wealth of flora & fauna). Superb panoramic views & landscapes immersed in a real "postcard setting". Spacious, comfortable Holiday cottage. Warm country charm, combining tradition & modernity in a soothing monochrome, enhanced by the totally exotic soul of the original building (preservation of the elegant stone fireplace mantel, beams, molded doors, stone & wood niches and lintels). Lots of charm. Cozy, cosy atmosphere. Pleasant enclosed garden with lawns and flowers, offering a large terrace (exposed & shaded) & an appreciable panoramic "relaxation area" shaded under a canisse (the ideal "spot" for a siesta!).

Raised ground floor (2 steps): living room-kitchen, lounge, 1 bedroom (2-bed 140x190cm), shower room, separate toilet. 1st floor: 2 bedrooms (2 single beds 90x190cm / 1 single bed 90x190cm).
