In the Morvan Natural Park, this former 16th-century watermill clings to the banks of the Guignon River. At the foot of the mill, the miller’s house—fully renovated yet retaining its original charm—is nestled in a protected natural setting, a true oasis of coolness and tranquility. With no close neighbors, you’ll fully and delightfully enjoy this place that invites you to rest, enjoy wellbeing, and find serenity! The holiday cottage offers every comfort, complemented by refined, understated, and soothing décor: on one level, a large, inviting living area with a fully equipped, built-in kitchen opening onto a terrace with patio furniture overlooking the river; a living room with a TV, Wi-Fi, and a stereo system; a spacious bathroom with a large shower and toilet; two bedrooms, each with a large bed (one with a 160x200 bed and one with two 90x200 beds that can be joined), located on the first floor via an exterior entrance; a separate bedroom with one 160x200 bed, its own bathroom (large shower), and a toilet. High chair and baby bed available upon request. Underfloor central heating via an air-to-water heat pump, and solar panels for self-consumption. A covered patio with a second outdoor seating area is at your disposal; the garden runs along the river and is not overlooked by neighbors. Ping-pong table, professional-grade foosball table. Please note that kids under the age of 5 must be supervised by adults due to the river’s current. You’ll be 2 km from Moulins-Engilbert, where you’ll find shops, restaurants, and the market (the birthplace of Charolais beef); 18 km from Château-Chinon and its museums; Saint-Honoré-les-Bains and its spa; 20 minutes from Lake Pannecière and hiking trails, and 5 km from the Nivernais Canal (biking and walking).

Nous avons passé 7 nuits dans le gîte et nous nous sommes sentis parfaitement bien. L’environnement est magnifique, aussi bien pour profiter de l’extérieur que pour se reposer à l’intérieur. Tout était agréable et bien aménagé. Le pêcher devant le gîte était abondamment garni et nous avons savouré de délicieux fruits. Nous étions très satisfaits et reviendrons avec plaisir.

François Excellent séjour, très agréable.
Une semaine dans un environnement calme et paisible, un gîte plaisant et confortable, avec deux enfants de 8 et 11 ans qui ont trouvé tout ce qu'ils souhaitaient sur place dans un espace de liberté en toute sécurité et à distance raisonnable des magnifiques lieux de baignades ; des propriétaires très accueillants et une visite du moulin très instructive.

jean-luc Très beau gîte au calme, idéal pour le repos et les balades dans la campagne ou au bord du canal
Le gîte est très agréable et très bien équipé. La literie est confortable et les équipements sont nombreux. La vue sur la campagne nous a permis d'apercevoir renards, chevreuils et nombreux oiseaux. Nous avons apprécié l'accueil et la visite du moulin par le propriétaire. Tout est bien pensé dans ce gîte pour se sentir très bien. Merci encore pour tout ce qui a rendu notre séjour plaisant

Ludovic Un gîte parfait dans une région très agréable.
Tout est fait dans ce gîte (ainsi qu'à l'extérieur) pour se sentir bien. Rien ne manque, il est parfaitement équipé. La literie est également de qualité. Il est possible de manger dehors à différents endroits, ceci est vraiment très agréable. C'est l'endroit idéal pour se reposer. Les extérieurs sont parfaitement entretenus. Quant au gîte, il est d'une propreté irréprochable. On ne peut que recommander un tel gîte.
