This gite is an independent outbuilding located in the extension of a 17th and 18th century residence that was once the château of Deyle Pierre MAIGNIEN DE MERSUAY, Lord of Mersuay and Bourguignon Les Conflans. His great-great-granddaughter, Eugénie de COUCY, was born here in 1791, second wife of Maréchal d'Empire Nicolas OUDINOT, and became Duchess of REGGIO. The village is crossed by the Lanterne River (1st piscicultural category), where you can fish, as well as in 2 nearby ponds with a total surface area of 75 hectares. There's a 7-km educational trail around the perimeter of the pond to observe and discover its biodiversity. The village is also located in the heart of the Natura 2000 zone, with its numerous ponds and wetlands that are home to many species of birds, kingfishers, swans, storks, mylans.... Numerous cycling and hiking trails nearby. The Maladière complex is 15 km away: swimming pool, aqua gym, aquabike, snorkelling, aqua cross fit, pedalo hire.
