A few steps lead up to the bedroom with exposed stonework and high ceilings: double bed (140cm) and TV lounge area with sofa bed, offering 2 additional beds. Shower room and WC. Private terrace next to the Holiday cottage in the owners' courtyard. Parking in front of the house. Possibility of renting by the night: €85 for 2 people.

Numerous wine-tasting cellars in the village. Nearby: the châteaux of Pommard, Meursault and La Rochepot. Beaune, the capital of Burgundy wines, famous for its Hospices, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take a stroll along the ramparts or through the Parc de la Bouzaise, or cycle through the Vineyard between Beaune and Santenay. Numerous events: Cinema Festivals, Baroque Music, 'Cours aux jardins'... Numerous restaurants. Hiking in and around the Vineyard. Beaune Beach: 14,000 m² of beach, 4 natural swimming pools, climbing wall unique in France, Restaurant.

Gérard et Mie Pierre Gîte très bruyant en bordure d'une départementale très fréquentée, dès 5 h du matin jusque tard dans la nuit. En conséquence, difficile de laisser les fenêtres ouvertes malgré la forte chaleur du moment. Contact avec propriétaire très minimaliste limité au stricte nécessaire.

Clive We liked the kitchen which is well equipped and perfect for 2 people. The shower had excellent water temperature and water pressure but the shower head arm is broken which made it difficult to get the shower head to stay at the required height. We pointed this out to the gite owner on departure. The bedding could do with new pillows and duvet/ spreadsheet - the current items are clean but getting rather old. The gite is perfectly placed for a 2 minute walk to an excellent patisserie/ boulangerie and opposit this a very friendly cafe that also has post office facilities so posting a postcard is made simple.
