Superb renovated 18th-century farmhouse. Privileged location overlooking the village of Beaufort in a typical hamlet. Absolute peace & magnificent scenery. Magnificent unspoilt meadow setting. Well-appointed, comfortable gîte with a spacious living room opening onto a south-facing balcony. Warm mountain atmosphere.
Traditional Beaufortain Detached house. First floor: living room with kitchenette and south-facing balcony, 3 bedrooms (2 single beds 90x190 cm, 2 double beds 140x190 cm, 1 Kids' bed), one of which has been converted into a former attic and is accessible from the balcony. Access to the other 2 bedrooms via the entrance porch. Shower room, Electric heating, south-facing terrace and extensive grounds.

Marc Séjour magnifique
Un séjour dans un chalet savoyard authentique.
L'espace avec les chambres/salle d'eau, est séparé de l'espace cuisine/salon. On passe de l'un à l'autre via un passage couvert. Ce n'est absolument pas gênant, et je dirais que même cela fait partie de l'authenticité du chalet.
On accède au gîte par un chemin carrossable de quelques mètres, et qui se termine au pied du chalet par un large emplacement pour garer la voiture.
L'emplacement du gîte est idéal : vue magnifique, à l'écart des grands axes donc au calme, tous les plus grands sites sont proches (lacs de Roselend, du St Guérin, de la Gittaz, station des Saisies, Arêches...).
Il y a deux classeurs intéressants dans le chalet : le premier explique la vie d'autrefois en Savoie, et le second compile des fiches de randonnées à faire.- Cleanliness

Bolton Beautiful location, lovely chalet
We had a wonderful week in the chalet. Colette was extremely kind, welcoming and helpful at all times. The back of the chalet has a double bedroom with cot, bathroom and another bedroom with double bed and twin beds. This is accessed from the internal corridor which comes off the outdoor storage area. The double bedroom with cot has stunning views. At the front of the property is a kitchen/diner with sitting room area and TV. There are 2 doors from this area that go straight out onto the wonderful rustic balcony with superb views down to Beaufort and beyond. We could sit there for hours. The balcony is big enough for a family of 6 to eat at the table,we loved this! Walking down the end of the balcony, you go down a few steps to a separate self contained double room with amazing views (loo/sink in corner of room behind curtain). Our teenage daughters slept in here and it was a true alpine experience.
10 mins drive down to Beaufort - fantastic visit to cheese factory museum and tour (tour was €3 each!). Walk around Lac de Guerin, cheap visit to local outdoor pool in Beaufort with baby pool, learner pool, big pool and flume (take €1 for locker and British style men's Bermuda shorts not allowed!), trip to Roseland to see the beautiful lake (note, no swimming allowed in local lakes or rivers). At Roseland, turn right as you approach the lake just before the first hotel and you'll find a car park with beautiful views for a picnic, with a steep path leading down to the lake).
We absolutely loved our holiday, Colette and the views. The only improvement could be the sitting room seating (1 futon that seats 3-4 when the house sleeps more than this!). Thank you Colette for being so helpful and for sharing your beautiful property.

Alain Gite très confortable et excellent accueil
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce très beau chalet typique. Il était propre, très bien équipé et spacieux.
Nous avons profité de la vue magnifique sur la vallée depuis la grande terrasse.
Une mention particulière à Colette la propriétaire qui a tout fait pour rendre notre séjour agréable et qui sait si bien parler de sa région !- Cleanliness
