Beautiful character gîte in the heart of a superb Beaujolais wine estate, 5 km from Villefranche sur Saône. It is housed in a wing of the gilded stone building, with the owners' accommodation in the other wing. Harmonious, trendy interior (antique furniture, exposed stone walls), soothing atmosphere. First floor: living room (dining area, sitting area) topped by a mezzanine (1 single bed, 1 double bed 160 x 200cm). Shower room with WC. Separate kitchen. On the kitchen floor, 1 unenclosed bedroom (3 single beds). Bed linen provided at no extra charge (beds made before arrival), towels not provided. Outside: large shared shaded park with swimming pool (access possible from early May to late September), deckchairs, relaxation areas, parking in front of the property. On-site: access to spa with supplement (€7/person/per session), additional accommodation (1 other gîte for 4 people and 5 chambres d'hôtes), rooms for rent.

4/5Beautiful gîte, set in lovely grounds, very peaceful. Clean. Beautifully furnished with quirky vintage items. Helpful owner. Mostly well equipped but lacking some kitchen items such as tea towels, unused washing up sponges and dishcloths, bin liners, dishwasher tablets, etc., which we provided ourselves. We had some bad weather during our stay and comfortable armchairs in the downstairs living area would have been welcome. However, these were minor faults.
