Le Domaine du Faux Martel

Located on the Thiers plateau (Borbes tourist circuit) in the heart of the Livradois-Forez Regional Nature Park, the former Faux Martel estate has recently been converted into 2 adjoining gîtes: La Tour and La Guinguette. This gîte is a combination of the two. Calm and tranquil, and just 4 km from the town center, the rural and natural environment is unspoilt, with an unobstructed view of the Chaîne des Puys (a UNESCO world heritage site). The estate is also classified as a refuge by the LPO for the protection and observation of birds. Ideal location for discovering the Auvergne region: hiking trails, mountain bike circuits, horse riding, swimming at the Iloa leisure park and the St Rémy lake 15 min away. All shops and events in Thiers: Coutelia art knife festival, Pamparina, visit to the medieval town, the factory valley, the cutlery museum and the contemporary art center... Access via the Thiers Est or Thiers Ouest freeways 15 min away. Vichy and Clermont-Fd 40 min away, Lyon 1H15.
La Guinguette: 1st floor: living room with open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining room, bedroom with 1 x 160cm bed (or 2 x 80cm beds), bedroom with 2 x 90cm trundle beds (can be joined or separated), bathroom/WC. Terrace overlooking the surrounding area.
La Tour: On the first floor, the house comprises a living room with wood-burning stove, a kitchen/dining room with wood-burning stove and access to the south-facing terrace, and a shower room/WC. On the second floor there's a bedroom with 1 bed 160 (or 2 beds 80), a bedroom with 1 bed 160 (or 2 beds 80) and 1 bed 90, a shower room and an independent WC. Terrace ideal for outdoor meals.
You'll also appreciate the adjoining 3000m² unfenced plot. Wood provided free of charge, electric heating according to consumption. Non-smoking cottage.
