The region is full of activities for all seasons. Nature lovers will find what they're looking for in Hiking, mountain biking and hang-gliding, while the more adventurous can try their hand at zip-lining, via ferrata and the big slide. In winter, the area is transformed: snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, available on site, and downhill skiing at the family-friendly Prabouré ski resort 45 minutes away. The region's heritage is just as rich: the Moulin richard-de-Bas, one of the last remaining paper mills, the Agrivap Train, the Vélo Rail and the École 1900 museum will delight young and old alike. Nearby lakes are ideal for relaxation, and the famous Festival de la Chaise-Dieu is just 40 minutes away. Throughout the year, weekly markets, flea markets, garage sales and craft markets in summer bring authenticity to local life.
